yorkie1999 Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 Spurs players heads will either drop if they get knocked out , or become blase about the league, if they continue in the CL. Burnley will get 4th!
ajthefox Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 I don't doubt we're a good side but it's a bit rash for that sort of thinking yet imo. Couple of losses and Puel will be on 60% manager confidence and people will be calling for his head. 1 1
Donut Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 Its possible, but unlikely. But finishing 8th or above id consider successful so not making top 4 is certainly not failure. We wouldnt be having this conversation post west brom at home. 1
420Hashish Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 I can imagine giving the top 4 a real scare though. They're all still playing in Europe so if they're fixtures are right after ours, then we're going to be extremely lucky, since they're going to rest players for our game to play the Europe match. If a team gets knocked out of Europe, They'll have their confidence on a low, which should be taken advantage of.

jumbo747 Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 Not this season I think, but with a settled team including Maguire, Ndidi, Vardy, Gray, Silva, Ibarro, happy, motivated and experienced in playing together in a style something similar to what we've seen in the last few matches, I'm pretty sure season 18/19 will be very good.
Livid Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 Right now it's a no. Win's against United and Liverpool in the next two weeks and I may change my mind.
ARTY_FOX Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 Yea, we're gonna do it. Don't worry we've got this 1
Monsell1976 Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 We have been nowhere near beating the big boys, which would be needed. Before anyone says spurs, they are not one of the big boys to me, both Manchester clubs, Liverpool, arsenal, I expect to finish well above us, and spurs probably will as well. With current form, and league position, we should be looking at top 6 as a very successful season

foxfanazer Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 No I think that’s a bit beyond us this season. Europa League qualification would be immense after a dreadful start to the campaign

Redouane Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 (edited) I don't think the momentum will last forever. Don't forget the win streak after Shakespeare's appointment.. I think top 7 is feasible though I'd hate to be that guy, but Puel isn't gonna win every game, and sooner than later we will have fans yelling #PuelOut Edited 15 December 2017 by Redouane

What must we look like to the outside world? To answer the question, of course not. Exactly. This thread is bloody ridiculous! I'd imagine we'll be at least 10 points off 6th place too.
Tuna Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 No, but had we appointed Claude at the start of the season we'd have been in with a shout especially with no European commitments. Genuinely excited to see where we are going as a football club now we have a very good manager in charge.
RumbleFox Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 I voted yes. I doubt we will but you gotta dream right? Let's cvnt these asswangers right up the wazzbangers. X

ousefox Posted 15 December 2017 Posted 15 December 2017 We haven't lost a game to anybody outside the top 6 this season. Start getting some results against them and we'll be up there.

It's a 5 point gap with 21 games to play. We've pulled off more unlikely feats in each of the last 3 seasons. Edited 16 December 2017 by Carl the Llama
