But why go into panic/defense mode as soon as 1-0 up just like watford ???

We didn't. Go re-watch the first 15 minutes. We were attacking and getting forward for most of it.

Because now we're 9th instead of 10th because of this possible defeat. It's related.

We aren't, Watford and Everton also losing.

The only thing embarrassing today are the comments on here.

Maguire was to tight to Salah, what do you think happens if he's not tight?

FFS let's blame Maguire despite an outstanding all around game, if he's shit so is every Defender in the league as Mo Salah had done that to everyone this year!

If his not as tight he doesn't get rolled by Salah and he still has to got around him.

So much hysterical misery on here. The way results are right now we finish 2017 in 8th place. Any sane fan would be happy with that. Yes the last couple of results have been disappointing but we’re doing ok. Let’s hope we can finally strengthen the first eleven over the coming month. We even lost at Anfield when we won the league

Eh, we were on the front foot after the goal as well, we didn't immediately camp inside the 18, we tried to keep attacking, but we were under such incredible pressure, especially on the right, that the only way to protect the lead was for players to drop further and further back. If we hadn't we'd be down 5-1, not 2-1. IDK what people want Puel to do, he has made us a vastly superior passing side, but we simply lack the passing/possession talent against an elite side like Liverpool, and so long as we are playing our CBs and keeper, we aren't likely to keep many clean sheets.

It's not just today though is it. Every game takes the same pattern. Only Burnley at home did we keep pressing forwards and that's because they practically refused to attack. We score. Sit back. Other team scores. We decide we need to play football. For the first few games we got away with it but now we aren't.

If you don't want to see it then that's your call. Poor tactics has cost us. It's no coincidence we decided to leave our 18 yard box after conceding. It's no coincidence it was the same the game before. Then the game before that. Then the game before that. Bar maximum 2 games under puel we've scored on then sat in until we've conceded. That's a fact.

Like we did under Ranieri and Pearson and Shakespeare.  Plus, you act like it's every game when it just isn't. Burnley we scored first and were mostly all over them second half despite leading.  Spurs 2-0 up, Newcastle 2-0 up, Saints 3-0 up, Everton 2-0 up, West Ham we were all over them first half even after the goal and only went tits up with a shitty 45 min goal again.

3 losses in a row and two from winning positions, its going to be a nervous January.

Ok, be miserable but I’m pleased to tell you we got a last minute equaliser against United last week

This result is totally expected. The really disappointing one and one that worries me much more is the Watford one last week.

They are pants at the moment and even Swansea could beat them.

This result isn’t even a bad one, palace and Watford were bad results but Liverpool are twice the team we are, they’d put more than 2 past most teams in Europe on their day.

Liverpool came into the match, they found their rythmn and started to impose themselves on us.

its not a match plan is it??

would you rather that we had flooded forward and left room in behind for salah, coutinho and firminho?

Liverpool were the better team today.

Surely Morgan the experienced defender and captain should be telling Harry not to get so close?

Maguire isn't a kid and Wes isn't there to baby sit people about basics.
