Grow up and get behind Riyad, or: stop listening to the press and wait and see how he reacts on the pitch

While I agree and stand by the position of LCFC, and think he let us all down but I get why he might have had a massive mardy, we all have our moments!

He wanted to move, he saw a dream shattered he felt the club had said he could go if that kind of offer came in but the club felt it was not a Jan offer any more and had no time to replace him so it was an undervalued offer he needs to understand that the owners will move in the best interest of the club.

But now that’s just move on, I don’t get the that’s be big babies as well and let him rot in the reserves he has not killed anyone for Christ sake.  Cut of your nose to spite your face?  what’s the point? If he has been a bit of a cvnt but I would like to give him the opportunity to pay us back on the pitch with the months he has left, it helps him get the move he wants, cash for LCFC and helps us win games of football and try for 7th place at the end of the day that is what matters most it’s a shame it will sour the memory of one of our most gifted players but I think we should all make up and move on and not be sulky mardy arses ourselves

And it starts already...

If you look through the smoke screens that Mahrez and the club are putting out it seems obvious that he won't be at the club after the summer transfer window. So,being virtually safe from relegation, now would be the ideal time to give other players invaluable premier league playing time in his position. Next season we can hit the ground running with a team of players who want to be here, unlike this season.

He will be,If He doesnt Play.

What... for ten days?

Is ANYONE really thinking that Mahrez has been doing anything other than just sulking?

Other than scouse fox that is, and frankly I’d trust my pet pug to come up with a more coherent explanation.

There's a European spot well within our grasp this season, it's not like there's nothing to play for.

That is simply a good point and it could make a big pull on his replacement and other players wanting to play in European cups when we are in the summer market. we need to aim high surley?

Quite amusing really. Basically a montage of him running around with a smile on his face.

Fair play to Riyad and the club for sorting it out. The press didnt know what was going on so speculated as per. Let's wait and see what happens going forward

The press blowing things out of proportion??? Impossible lol

I'm sure both parties were very displeased but maybe there wasn't as much bad blood as reported.

I think it’s a pretty obvious attempt to save face. Offers no explanation as to why he decided to miss so many days, whether the club were aware where he was or not.

For it me it’s now about how he performs on the pitch, he gives his all then we can forget about this. Problem for him is when he has his half-arsed games, which he has every now and again, he will be criticised heavily for not caring.

Hasn't he always been criticized for that? Even last season before he submitted a transfer request?

I never stopped loving you RiRi

This statement won't go well with our resident "doom and gloom" merchants lol
The guy said that people were talking on his behalf and he didn't go AWOL. But hey, don't let that distract people from their bitterness.

Yeah that’s my point really, he’s not going to get any sympathy when he has them days, whereas before he would sometimes get away with because he was brilliant in other games.

People will believe whichever story supports their agenda. All I know is he’s missed two important games and 10 days training. He’s obviously had his demands met by the club and they’ve decided to put statements out claiming everything is rosey. Amazing what 10 days can do

Time to move on now and concentrate on winning as many games as we can

This will Do for me , welcome back !

"Off the back of that many people and journalists have made assumptions without properly checking the story, so I would like to clarify that all those so-called assumptions of why I was absent are completely untrue.

"I have been a part of the Leicester City team that has achieved much success including promotion to the Premier League and being Champions of the League.

"My goals have always been the same and I have always given my full 100% when I play for the club the fans and my team-mates.

"Those goals remain the same today and in the future and when I am asked to be a part of the Leicester team, rest assured I will continue to give my all."

One thing I am pretty sure of, with the general fickleness of the contemporary football supporter, if Mahrez puts in a few good performances again, all will be forgotten again.

There will be many ready to change their views already. Until the next time etc.

You,and others seem to assume that everybody had nothing but oneway negative thoughts on

Mahrez's reaction and actions over the last 10 days.

I always gave my opinions and thoughts in the "If" mode,.

Speculating in both positive/negative Modus.

Being Cynical falls naturally in any social Media,or Sportinger Forum.

But If can in This Case cut 2 ways.  We all criticise the Sportinger Media,

So Logic might Show Cynically that all Views and reporting was based on

nothing, and Like this forum rife with totally unconfirmed silly speculation.

Where individuals gullibility, allows them to give credance to any BS.

It could Well of been the club told him He aint going,so bigger Off for a few days,

and digest they MC didnt come Up with the readies, and our expectation...

I will always 100% back any player in a Leicester shirt, because they have the power to bring me joy and pleasure and I don't want that tainted by bitterness. Which is why I was a big supporter of Vardy in his first season and Waghorn in his last. One has repaid my faith more than the other. I would rather back somebody that fails than turn on someone who may prove me wrong.

Now Mahrez and the club have both handled this poorly by not making public statements allowing the press to write what they want. We shouldn't let the press drive a division between the club, Mahrez and the fans. We are better than that.
