LCFC FOX Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 May as well try something new Hamer Amartey Dragovic Maguire Fuchs Hamza Ndidi Mahrez Barnes Gray Vardy and seven youngsters on the bench 2
Monsell1976 Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 My only thoughts on this is can I be bothered to turn up at 7-45 on a Thursday night, to watch these pathetic players. I think I will turn up after 60 minutes when the players will probably turn up 1
Webbo Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 On the plus side, Southampton are terrible and they've got a semi final on the weekend. If we don't win this Puel shouldn't bother turning up the next morning. 1

TheUltimateWinner Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Hamer Amartey Drago Maguire Chilwell Ndidi Silva Mahrez Nacho/Diabate Gray Vardy However I can already hear the groan I’ll let out at 6:45 on Thursday when Morgan and Simpson both start.
Matt Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 FT: 'The players aren't playing for him' 6.45 Thursday night - Puel names the same players.
lgfualol Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Jakupovic Albrighton Dragovic Maguire Chilwell Mahrez Silva Ndidi Diabate Iheanacho Vardy Kill 2
Md9 Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 At least ndidi will be back for this game. Get drago at the back nacho up top with vardy and diabate creating some chances for them I think we could put a few past them. Play Morgan and I think Shane long will run rings around him. How long is amartey out for as I haven't seen anything about him recently. Could always give the under 23 right back a go see how he does. 2
RowlattsFox Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 If we’re not going to play Dragovic then Sam Hughes should get a go. Why not? Johnson at right back too. Last chance for Southampton, regardless of the cup semi they will be all out for this and I can’t see us having the same motivation.
Spicer Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 It will be interesting to see what team Southampton play, the league is the priority, but they have a semi-final. We've been saying for weeks that Dragovic should play. However I'd put my money on Morgan and Simpson starting.
Md9 Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Must be so hard to be part of the squad when players are not playing well and still don't get a chance to play. I get Morgan is the captain but if he is playing shite then he still needs dropping so he gets back to some good form as should be the case for everyone. the first team won't be motivated if they are gojng to be picked regardless of how poor they play weeks previously. Players like Simpson and kasper need someone to keep them on there toes so they don't get complacent or if they do they are ready to step in. Shame amartey got injured when he did as would have been nice to see how he did and if he would still be getting picked if he was playing well
lcfcsnow Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Iheanacho has started to look capable in the number 10 role away, some really nice assists after coming on. I have doubts whether he could impact a game starting in that role though, especially at home. 1
southfox66 Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 If you were Southampton what would you say was more important winning cup or staying Premier, i would say the later, so Thursday there is much more at stake for them than us, losing to Burnley the players will know in their minds that Europes gone, so wouldn't be surprised if we get turned over again at home
mhs123 Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Well let's be honest they are due a win, the writing is on the wall.
Grebfromgrebland Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 I think iheanacho needs more game time with diabate they play well together. Mahrez is mahrez and has to play and gray is playing ok. So we probably have to drop Silva and play Ndidi with Choudhury in a 4-2-3-1 with 2 DMs to try and stop conceding so many sloppy goals. 1
Callabinho Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 0-2 Southampton, the players largely haven’t got the bottle or fight to match teams whom are desperate. West Brom are gone but Southampton haven’t just yet there’s hope, and with that they will have enough to beat us.
HKFox Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 Focus on next season now for me. I was hoping we sold Mahrez in January (he is the most skilful and creative player we have been lucky enough to watch play for us, but clearly he wants to move on) and this would have allowed Diabate and Gray 15 games to see if they are good enough. I would like to play a side which we can see youthful players have a chance and see if they are ready for next season. Schmeichel, Amartey, Dragovic, McGuire, Chilwell. Gray, Ndidi Silva Diabate, Kalechi + Vardy. Yes we might lose a few games, by playing out and out wingers who want to create, and 2 strikers. But with 5 games starting together we could at least get an idea if this team could be ready for next season. Move on Morgan, Simpson and Mahrez. Thank them for the league titles they won with us but prepare to create a new side for next season. 4
sylofox Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 If Morgan and Chilly start only one result. Anyone thinking Dragovic will sign is on drugs. He will in capitals give one answer. FVCK OFF. And I do not blame him. Not saying I want Puel out but if he don't wake up I will. Wes has to go chilly has to step up or go. If it comes to old gaurd next season huth needs to play in front of Wes.
StriderHiryu Posted 14 April 2018 Posted 14 April 2018 I’m in the doom and gloom club too. Our season is over but Southampton are fighting to stay up. Expect 60% possession, conceding two crap goals and a Vardy reply after we start going for it at the 60m mark for another 2-1 loss.
