How do you know any of this?

The money they'll now generate will take them to new levels.

I don't particularly like them but I don't like anyone but Leicester.

The hatred for spurs, who we beat to the title and who've not taken any of our players is quite bizarre.

I agree that some of their fans are a bit annoying though ?

Not as bad as the scousers though as we could well find out in the next week or so?

I’m not sure where I said I knew any of this. I used the phrase ‘most likely’, it was my opinion. Based on the fact that they’ve massively overspent on the new stadium coupled with Levy being notoriously unwilling to part with money for transfers. He plays hard ball and other clubs will pay more for the players they want.

I never said I hated them and I never mentioned their fans, I gave an opinion on their summer dealings.

If you’re going to counter my opinion at least make it relevant, I’m all for that. You’ve tried putting words in my mouth.

yeh but Spurs, being top of the annoying league,at least keeps us off the top!!

The game is about football on the pitch not what forum have the biggest dipsticks....

Week in week out ,posters come up with great subjects on football relevant & orientated points....after a few pages of turns into a slagging match,on

What individuals think of the other teams obnoxious fans...The original point on topic totally gets forgotten....

No wonder we Brits cant sort Brexit out..!!!...:teehee:..:crylaugh:

We live in the age of Anger, t'internet loves a bit of it.

As someone once said, anger is an energy. Whilst I do see it is sometimes useful, the kind of 'faux' anger (about issues that are essentially fake news, or of trivial importance) that seems so prevelant today is just self-indulgent willy pulling.

imho, obvs.

Have a strong feeling Liverpool are going to **** it up and lose at Newcastle, handing the chance to Man City to claim the title on Monday.

Never said you hated them but it's a general feeling on this site, I'm sure you will agree.

Levy is a very shrewd businessman and, over the last couple of windows, Spurs have spent nothing in the transfer market.

Does this mean he won't give Poch money or does it mean certain players weren't available at the time?

To improve their starting 11, they'll have to spend big, there's no doubt about that, but with the stadium, manager and some outstanding players coming through from their academy, I can't see them kicking on and the 'they've done their nuts on that stadium and will now have a downturn' doesn't hold water.

They've been a top side in this country for a few years now, spent very little and have brought through good young English players.

If we could get somewhere like that, I'd be delighted.

Have a great weekend ?

tackles like that Auderweirald one should be more than a yellow card.  You shouldn't be allowed to do that, he purposefully sticks his 2nd leg up to catch him after he misses the first foot.  I read a suggestion one time that really cynical fouls like that could result in the player having to be subbed off, but the team remain at 11 men and the new player would come on with a yellow.  I don't hate it.

So any meat head can start a game, nail the opposition's best player cynically just to get subbed off for a better player. Bit of a flawed idea.

a) the player that gets subbed on would already be on a yellow card

b) you could make it so that it counts as one of the 3 subs as well

Not enough of a deterrent, say you sub on a skillful winger, most of the time it won't matter they are on a yellow as tackling isn't a key aspect of their game.

- it's more of a deterrent than what there is currently

- maybe the player that commits the foul is a skilled position, maybe they aren't

- again, you could make it count as one of the three subs - surely no team is going to start a "meat head" skilled winger (do those even exist?) to commit a cynical foul early in the game, cost their team a sub, and have the new player come on already on a yellow?

Anyone other than Dier or another of the Tottenham England contingent and that’s a second yellow, he literally stopped about to give it then changed his mind! lol
