Finn Claw II Posted 6 July 2018 Posted 6 July 2018 The thing I didn’t understand is why no other clubs are considering Mahrez. It seems odd especially for the fee being touted about 2

Man City have taken a very underhand approach to this transfer and ideally I'd like us to stand our ground so as to discourage similar practice both to us and other clubs in the future. If we don't nip it in the bud now it won't be long before they come back and start using similar tactics to try and buy Maguire. 1
Blue fox LE2 Posted 6 July 2018 Posted 6 July 2018 Maybe gonna take longer and see if Ronaldo goes to juventus then maybe real might bid?

Spurs, wouldn't spend that much. Arsenal, priority spending is on defenders. Chelsea, managerial turmoil would make it difficult. Real Madrid, not really a big enough name. Barcelona, ? P.S.G , lots of top quality attacking options.
Jattdogg Posted 6 July 2018 Posted 6 July 2018 You've got to wonder how much man city actually wants you with these sheninaggens. Its like they want him but looking at there wallet at the cashier thinking "mmmmm ennnnn mmmmm ennnnn should i? Seems steep. I dont want to pay that i want to pay this". That works for furniture maybe but not footballers as much. You want a club to come get you regardless of price especially if its man city. Butthen again he might become an expensive piece if furniture like drinky...... Mahrez needs to take his head out of his arse and say pay up for me or foook off and i will stay at a club that clearly values me. He has the worst advice around him.
Drift Posted 6 July 2018 Posted 6 July 2018 I thought the Iheanacho deal took a long a time. This takes the biscuit.
richardsfoxes Posted 6 July 2018 Posted 6 July 2018 I mean we've already spent 50M i highly doubt we can do anymore business until he is sold so it does effect us greatly, i just hope we have 1-2 targets already in the pipe line i don't want us getting to late late july/August without someone. 1
STUHILL Posted 6 July 2018 Posted 6 July 2018 Surely Man City want him to be part of their pre-season plans. Hopefully done early next week and we get around 75million and not the £60m that keeps getting put out there
ARM1968 Posted 6 July 2018 Posted 6 July 2018 It’s going to be around £65 million plus adding taking it eventually to around £75 million. Sticking point is we wabt a buy back option of £20. 1
LestaAl Posted 6 July 2018 Posted 6 July 2018 I am confident that this deal will be completed by this time next year ?

Surely Real Madrid are offloading Ronaldo because either Neymar or Mbappe are imcoming. They’re selling Ronaldo by choice, with an agenda. The only way they’d go for Mahrez is if they had limited options and needed someone in.
AKCJ Posted 6 July 2018 Posted 6 July 2018 Why the **** would Madrid replace Ronaldo for Mahrez? **** sake lads. Real Madrid will go for the best player money can buy and that isn't Riyad. 2
MC Prussian Posted 6 July 2018 Posted 6 July 2018 Prepare for mass implosions (in particular among Algerians) once the deal falls through at the last minute. After all, we have previous history when it comes to 14 second of delay...

Taking @Albert at his word, it's because it would appear to be known in the relevant circles that the deal has been done for some time, excepting the finer details.

Wymsey Posted 6 July 2018 Posted 6 July 2018 Mahrez, probably, wouldn't get a regular place in their team - as he can be frustratingly inconsistent at times and can quite see him being a player who will come on as a substitute in the second-half with a game all-square and the team needing someone with fresh legs of his quality to exploit the opposition's tiring defence.
TeamRocket Posted 6 July 2018 Posted 6 July 2018 Be funny if we offered him 250,000 a week and then be like nooo actually we getting someone else
