I remember seeing the score on ceefax on a tv through the window of Dixon’s! Man alive how things have changed, well except that we’re great and Derby are still shite!

Brilliant game!

Loved that team and squad. The MON era was really enjoyable as a city fan. LOVED Izzet, Walsh, Guppy, Lennon, Heskey, et all. Back then I even loved Savage until we realised what a nob he was after leaving.

The thread works for making me feel old!

The team of my youth. As amazing as 2015/16 was, I still think in the years ahead I will look to this team with more affection. Obviously they didn't have quite the same level of achievement (!), but they did consistently well. A lot of great guys in the team, and I love that many have stuck around since.

Could have been the fact you could see them in mosquito coast chugging pints with a fag on the go most weekends when you went out if you felt like connecting with the squad

Remembered watching it on Sky, couldn't believe it, it felt like it was going to be 7 or 8 after 10 minutes!

This was a classic. Although the other 75 minutes were very boring, from memory.

Remember doing the calcs, thinking we ought to win it 24 - 0. Felt like O'Neill told the players to go easy on them at half time.

Yes, feeling very old.

We miss a true box to box midfielder like Izzet. Would win the ball, would also score goals.

And had a good range of passing on him too! What a player he was.

Would love to have a similar player to him in the team now. Leicester City legend!

One of the most surreal games I've been to this, bizarre.

Some people did arrive late as well, remember a group of pissed up lads coming in after half hour and thinking it was some sort of wind up.

Yes that Fox Leisure kit makes you feel old.

Diving headers that's a rarity these days, not sure why.

It would be interesting to see if anyone has been 4 up quicker.

I think Arsenal were 4-0 up in 22 minutes against someone this year, and the pundits all jizzed themselves over how incredible that was.

I was in London, supporting my best friend doing the Marathon that day. Plan was to get him home and changed, then to the pub to 'endure' the match. It kicked off whilst he was showering, and we were four up by the time we left for the pub!

Watched this in a pub in Ireland (I've being saying that for the past 20 years).  Thanks to my daughter being confirmed that day, I only got in as Heskey was scoring the third.
