I don’t see Atletico paying £25m+ for a player of Vardy’s age, and I don’t see our owners letting him go for anything near that sort of money. No one can argue his goals aren’t invaluable to us staying in the Premier league, and that’s worth £120m each and every season. £25m for 20 goals is a pittance in the Premier League. If they get 70-85 for Griezmann they might
Clever Fox Posted 19 May 2018 Posted 19 May 2018 I don't see this happening. As i think he's Leicester through and through and a new Contract to see out his career here. Although no one would begrudge him if it's what he wants.
ithuriel Posted 19 May 2018 Posted 19 May 2018 I cant see it but there is always the small chance. He is paid very well, pretty much knows he is first choice here and we would never let him go on the cheap, plus he would have seen how Drinky fared at Chelsea. What with the ambitions the owners have, I'd be a bit surprised if he left to go to Athletico
splinterdream Posted 19 May 2018 Posted 19 May 2018 If he wants to go then it'd be fruitless for the club to hold him back but you'd think he'd be settled with his family, why would he want to uproot all that, he'd have been better off at Arsenal
brucey Posted 19 May 2018 Posted 19 May 2018 "The Foxes do not want to lose their England hitman, and talks have started on a new deal with two years to run on his current one." I think that explains it.. nothing to see here 1
Ian Nacho Posted 19 May 2018 Posted 19 May 2018 Was only saying the other day when watching Atletico that Vardy would be perfect for them.
ScouseFox Posted 19 May 2018 Posted 19 May 2018 could deffo see it happening, or just him going somewhere. world cup boxed off, he's got nothing to lose anymore. he's done it all for us and he'll have done both major comps for england. even if he goes and it goes tits up he probably won't care. 1

Fuch em when they give us back that Gary Parker sending off or that criminal penalty last year that was out side the box I'll think about spelling their name right. 1 1
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 19 May 2018 Posted 19 May 2018 Keep him, give him anything. He's our best player. We're done if he goes. 3

tsintskaro Posted 19 May 2018 Posted 19 May 2018 I mean it would be entertaining watching him in bigger club, with better coach, playing in spain and CL.but its not happening,at least i dont want it to happen and as already stated, owners not gonna let go 2 best player same time

Guest Col city fan Posted 19 May 2018 Posted 19 May 2018 I did say I wouldn’t be surprised if both Vardy and Mahrez want to leave this summer.
RutlanderFox Posted 19 May 2018 Posted 19 May 2018 If what is being said is true,£16m is an absolute fuching insult for one of the most prolific strikers in Europe right now, regardless of his age. Go to hell Atleti! I’m sick of bigger clubs thinking that they can pay disgracefully low fees for our star players and then get upset when we don’t roll over. Remember when Roma bid £20m for Mahrez initially last summer? So people think we should sell Vardy and Mahrez for a combined £36m when Andy Carroll alone was worth that 7 years ago? Unbelievable 2
Popular Post Nigel Graham Pearson Posted 19 May 2018 Popular Post Posted 19 May 2018 Vardy is a renaissance man so the culture of Madrid will be a big pull. 5
Brooksy Posted 19 May 2018 Posted 19 May 2018 Quote Vardy, 31, is rated at £16million, but Atletico would have to offer at least £20m to even tempt Leicester into doing business. 1

holyfox Posted 20 May 2018 Posted 20 May 2018 Reading the headline I was kind of thinking there maybe some truth in this and if he had to go, I wouldn’t begrudge him. Then, when I got the £16m I realised this was bull****!. Not happening unless the figures is £50m+ for a guaranteed 20 goal a season striker.

Unbelievable Crumbs is that what the figure is £16m for the 2nd best (stats only) English striker when that the spent force that is Rooney is apparently worth £12m?
