(Feel free to move to a relevant thread relating to possible transfers away from the club.)

Being considered by Villa to replace John Terry.

Would be a good move all-round imo, as they're under financial pressure and him being a free agent and Huth would join a side that will probably be strong on the pitch come the start of the new season.

Probably should go in the ex players thread?

Would be a good move for him, he's quite local to Birmingham.

Be interesting to see how Villa's summer shapes up after the reports of financial trouble, but it should be a decent move for him.

Be a great signing for Villa if they can keep him fit, best centre half in that league by a country mile.

He's a free agent - nothing to do with us.

Would be a good move but I really can't see how Villa could afford his salary given their financial situation.

He is willing to take a wage cut.

Atm he's out of contract, he's not getting a wage at all. If he was offered 10 or 20 k a week it's still better than nothing.

Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at Middlesbrough. Tony Pulis is the manager there now and I can imagine that being a big pull for Huth.

Well and the fact he used to play for Boro.

I think he'll need to play for free looking at Villa's financial crisis.

I don't think Villa will be splashing the cash this season, they are in a world of hurt right now.  I don't think they can afford Huth.

He isn’t being paid currently so how can he take a wage cut?

Fantastic player for us, not sure exactly what happened last season regarding injuries and possible fall outs. Free agent and I wish ‘The Huth’ well in his future endeavours...
