Koke Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 Vardy suspended. Mendy to keep his place? I don't know what to make of this current Saints side but our record against Mark Hughes in the last 4 years is brilliant.
foxfanazer Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 Need to start a lot better than we did today but we should be looking to get the 3 points.
KFS Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 Same side but Iheanacho for Vardy. Ghezzal and Diabate to feature.
Guest Kopfkino Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 I think we’ll be better away from home than at home this year and this is exactly the kind of game I reckon we’ll do we’ll in. Repeat of last year please.
UPinCarolina Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 (edited) Mendy has to stay. Nacho for Vardy - no other changes. Maybe Albrighton on bench and then coming in on the left. Edited 18 August 2018 by UPinCarolina 1
Popular Post Will1981 Posted 18 August 2018 Popular Post Posted 18 August 2018 Schmeichel Amartey - Maguire - Evans Ricardo - Mendy - Ndidi - Chilwell Madders Gray - Nacho We were a lot more solid today after we went with 3 CB's. 10
Mehrez Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 Probably won’t be up to speed for this one but I’m looking forward to seeing the new Turk
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 Will be an interesting line up I suspect Puel knows how to shake things up to be fair to him tough game though Leicester win 1

StriderHiryu Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 Haven’t seen any of Southampton this season to comment properly but they looked poor last year even after Hughes came in and I don’t think their signings have grabbed my attention for the right reasons. Same starting lineup with Nacho for Vardy and I think we will win 2-0.
The Doctor Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 Iheanacho for Vardy, probably do Soyuncu in for Evans as well. 3-1 win

I think we desperately need Ghezzal on the pitch, we lack creativity and Albrighton's crosses don't tend to bring us goals, today's fluke notwithstanding. If we do start Albrighton, we need him to stop looking to cross to the front of the goal, we don't have the players to do anything other than pick up the pieces if there's a deflection. Perhaps if he targets a trailing Maddison or Mendy higher in the box more frequently we'll get a bit more joy. 2
TrentFox Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 Away from home in the PL. A draw is a good result. anything more is a fabulous bonus.
Tedders Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 Can see what Puel is building and I really hope he gets the chance to finish the project I can see us still having those up and down performances this season in the process and I feel we’re in that stage where it’s hard to see what team will turn up but if we do can see no other than a comfortable win.
Hammo Posted 18 August 2018 Posted 18 August 2018 Nacho in for Vardy. Obviously. Mendy to keep his place alongside Ndidi. Obviously. Because Ricardo and Chilwell are so dangerous bombing forward and tailor-made for the wing back role, there must be a temptation for Puel to go with three at the back (with Caglar, if fit, alongside Evans and Maguire) and drop Albrighton, with Gray and Maddison playing off Nacho. Thst's how I'd like to see us line up for this one, which i feel is a very winnable fixture.
