It is odd and lazy to simply refer to him as Turk, its difficult to pronounce, not to spell his name :crylaugh:

However to say it's highly offensive is ridiculous, can people stop with this PC nonsense for fear to offend. I'm a second generation immigrant and I'm immensely proud of my heritage and unique last name. But i am proud to live in a country that offers the freedoms to speak your mind without fear of persecution - the PC culture here goes too far sometimes - call raciscm and hate speech out when it happens, but this highly offensive. Jesus wept.

Oh and Benkovic, i can understand one for the future but I'm not sure he came from a champions league club to be loaned out.

It is not "PC," it is just ignorance and false use of what constitutes racism or not. PC is a buzz word.

I have no problem loaning him to Celtic, maybe a top championship team would be an alternative but no point sending him to he championship for the sake of it.

People saying no point loaning to a shit league were happy enough to sign Patrick Roberts based on a season in Scotland.

We can’t keep 5 centre backs that want to play happy and there’s no point him playing under 23 football.

Now Boyata is back playing for them though I don’t know if they need him.

Anything can be offensive in this day and age.

Someone would probably be offended I’m sure.

..... If you know the person's name, you should use it. It smacks as disrespect using his country of origin to refer to him as such.

I am always being referred to as 'Der Englander' by the locals, but then Austria is a racist Country.

I’d have no problems being referred to as the Englishman. Probably better than pommie bastard anyway.

I think a season on loan would be a real positive for him. Clearly Puel is going to go with Morgan as 3rd choice and Lord Farquaad will be ahead of him too. That's 4 CBs. Best for him to go where he will play every week and then come back in the summer and replace Morgan.

No. Me quoting Lord Farquaad from STHILL's post could only be one person..

A Scot would.

I'm Scottish and wouldn't care if I was referred to as a Brit or a Scot...

Send Wes out on loan to the Championship, have a back 3 of Evans, Souyuncu and Maguire with Benkovic on the bench.... Sorted!!

Prefer Morgan over Evans at this moment in time.

We can't send him to Glasgow and expect him to become fluent.

Ok, so he comes back with joined up talking.

He will  have to write everything down, there should.t be a problem there, after all, we do understand most of Rumbles posts.

Sooner keep him at the KP but if we are to loan him out let it be to a Championship side as that would be more in keeping with our style  of football....

This would be good for him to see how he copes in a similar league in terms of physicality.

Working under Brendan Rogers will be good for his development too as he likes to play out from the back.

Also gives him time to adapt to the British way of living in a team expected to win every week.

Interesting.... he's lucky he didn't play for Dinamo this season as he wouldn't have been able to go anywhere else.

I wonder if they  new about the transfer early on and that he would be immediately loaned out.

Looks like we are beginning to adopt a Chelsea style approach to transfers, hoover up all the good young talent and send them out on loan. Then in a year or two of successful loan spells either sell them on for a profit or put them in the side. Bit harsh on other side's who don't have are financial clout but that's the way of the world
