Honestly didn't see the point after 60 minutes Southgate taking off the fringe players for the regulars. For me, should've let the fringe players stake a claim for the shirt and give the youngsters a go. Why take Tarkowski, Loftus-cheek, TAA and Delph off for the regulars.

After struggling for a while we're blessed with centre backs now, Tarkowksi had a good game. Lascelles, Mawson, Keane and Mee don't even get a look and they're all good enough I reckon.

Never ever want to see us play with three at the back again. Horrible formation, wrong personnel - or rather, personnel not suited or trained for such a system.

 

England midfield bossed it, Loftus-Cheek in particular.

And our strikeforce or lack thereof back to square one.

 

Can't wait for league football to restart.

keane is fu cking rubbish but i get your point. we’ve come full circle for 5 or 6 years ago when we were calling up steven caulker and spending every waking day begging terry and cole to come out of retirement. 

 

kinda why i think some of the southgate criticism is deserved, we’ve got quality defenders and a pretty sound keeper and we still concede goals regularly, even against rubbish teams like tunisia and panama in the summer of our lives we couldn’t keep a clean sheet. 

 

cant blame him for the horror show going forward most games, cos our forward options are rubbish bar kane and sterling, one of whom is clearly absolutely goosed and the other just can’t quite get it to click for england. but that defence should be keeping clean sheets in more games than it’s not.

I won free tickets from Radio Leicester yesterday so the actual quality of the play didn't bother me much.

 

First ever England game?

THREE Leicester City players in the squad?

 

One starting, and another, the local boy, getting his debut?

 

A chance to sing your national anthem, despite being an atheist who's not such a big fan of it? (bring on Jerusalem)

I always feel conflicted because it's a toss anthem but when it's being sung I always join in
