Maybe...just maybe...Puel has found a system that can accommodate how he wants to play while still getting close to the best of Vardy.

It’s against the teams around us and below us that we struggle to get him involved as they don’t give us space behind

What has a setttled team got to do with anything?

You think it’s healthy making 2 3 4 or 5 changes every match? Pick your settled best 11 and stick until it needs changing! Bit of a silly question that!

And that, my friends, is why any talk of sacking Puel is utter madness.

Anyone who can't see what he's building here just doesn't understand football.

I think the game shows though that no matter what we try, when we revert back to a counter attacking team, it's when we are at our best. I want to see us be more than just a counter attacking team, but we are some of the best in the business when we play that way.

That said the addition of Chilwell and Ricardo makes a BIG difference. THE big money teams will be after these two for sure.

Also Hamza deserves a huge pat on the back, great performance from him.

The difference being now that we can pass around a press. Before last season we would just lump it forward, and there were times in this second half where we did, but crucially we are much more technically able now. The game management of the players was utterly brilliant at the end, too.

At last - the statement win we all needed, not least the manager.

Big Wes imperious. Ricardo and Chilwell so impressive, but best of all..

what a fcuking GOAL!!

To go to Chelsea twice and keep two clean sheets is some going.

It is a terrific result. Of course, the frustration at recent results is understandable, the questions over the manager won't go away but what I will say is that if Puel does go soon, we aren't in a bad place.

We are in a far better position as a squad than what he inherited that's for sure. PUEL IN.

The best managers regularly adjust to the team they're facing. Not saying he's one of the best managers but yeah, it can be healthy

Play Vardy. Play Albrighton. Don't play Iheanacho. Get the ball forward with actual intensity and good things happen. Who knew.

Exactly. They played with much more intensity and urgency second half. As I said, they need to hit balls upfield more first time rather than hesitate or build up slowly allowing the other team to swarm them. Good second half. Defense is still a little suspect with MacGuire though ...

Heard that that was our second win there since the 1960's. Can anyone confirm that?

Poor first half but a much much better second half all round.

Oh yeah Puel in lol

We did jam that.

But they were jammy in the same fixture last season so ha!

We were much the better team. Well deserved 3 points.

Very happy! Now on to a wounded Man City lol although we saw the other night they still have their defensive frailties, as palace have just shown!

Hsssssss. Snake or hero? :dunno:

All seriousness, sounded like how we used to play, we gave it a bloody go, makes a refreshing change.

Welcome back Leicester City, where have you been?!

Puel adapting under pressure or simply adapting and finally being flexible in his style? :dunno:

It takes time to rebuild a side and transform the way it plays.

Time and patience.

Never believed in karma until today when Alonso's shot hit the post and stayed out. Dimmy was fouled at the other end by Rudiger and nothing given.

Fantastic result, gritty 1st half and fantastic 2nd half. Massive performances from Chilwell and Ricardo, both offensively and defensively. Hamza is developing into one hell of a defensive midfielder.

Yes I agree!

In fact even in this game we saw the difference. The first half was a throwback to early 2016/17 under Ranieri. Teams learned how to deal with us and all we did was punt the ball hopelessly up field inviting waves after waves of pressure. Second half our players put their foot on the ball and kept it. It made all the difference.

What a win. Absolutely superb team performance, tactics spot on from Puel and a classic Leicester counter attack goal to seal it. Delighted :D

Either Puel is the luckiest man alive, or he is a genuine tactical magician..... every time the heat is turned up on him he pulls a rabbit out of the hat!

Best mixed metaphor I’ve read in a while .
