The less said about that the better.

Many of that team will be out of contract soon but what the hell do we do with Iheanacho?

Then why bloody play them?

People blaming Puel.

That side should have been more than capable of beating Newport.

Morgan, Simpson, Fuchs, Iheanacho, James, Ghezzal & Okazaki were simply not good enough.

Was it Puel’s fault the players shown no fight, no passion, no urgency?

Was it his fault Ghezzal didn’t play the ball to Iheanacho in the first half? Was it his fault Okazaki missed 2 sitters?

Pathetic team selection, pathetic tactics, no fight or ambition, no invention creativity or fight.

Puel has sucked the life out of this club and the sooner we get rid the better.

Joke of a manager, joke of a club at the moment.

I could take the loss better if I’d seen some fire in the belly. Too many preening peacocks and others who have achieved their career aim by picking up a fat wage on a long term contract

So many people predicted this when they saw the Team.   Totally and utterly the wrong selection from back to front.    Yes, the players performed badly but Puel got this wrong.

There needs to a massive clear out in this window and no contracts should be given to any of these players out of contract. That's it now.   Much work for Rudkin to do.

First thing Puel should do is get Barnes and Benkovic back now.   These two would surely waltz into the matchday squad in front of many of those who shamed the shirt today. The players should Club together and refund all Foxes Ticket Money after that.

Like I say, we’ve even topped that.

Lets have it right, Newport could’ve had a few more as well.

If we were going on chances that should have been scored, we'd have won about 7-3.

What's a recurring theme? We've gone out of the cup under Puel to Man City twice and Chelsea. We're 7th in the league. This is literally an anomolly, not a recurring theme.

Jesus Christ where do you think we will finish under this deluded French man????.

It will not be top 10. We played well against Chelsea I'l give him that.

Man city was lucky we played them at the best time possible.

Can't blame Puel at all for me, each one of those players are easily good enough to beat Newport, but if you don't look like you want to win, you won't will you ?‍♂️

And who is responsible for preparing the players to ensure they do have the right attitude on the pitch?

Posted

This is when you want a decent  post match interview  from the manager. But all you will get is we were unlucky / we need freshness  / other players need to play. Players like Maguire will be off because they'll realise there not gonna win anything here.

Well done to Newport. They deserved it today.

For us, let the post-mortem begin. I'm sure Puel gets a kick out of getting beaten by teams we SHOULD be winning. But when you rest as many players as we do, well we deserve everything we get. It showcases a lack of strength in depth and no real Plan B when the brown stuff hits the fan.

From the sublime (Chelsea/Manchester City) to the ridiculous. Leicester City personified.

The side selected should have been good enough to beat a mediocre league two outfit. They won because they wanted it more, not because of this magic of the fa cup shite.

Our finishing was diabolical, we had more than enough chances. We've so much dross in the squad it is unbelievable.

We've been well and truly humbled.

WTF was Andy King doing on the bench ahead of Iborra / Silva?

Whilst we obviously have a stronger squad of individuals, and I expected us to win, perhaps there were one too many changes in this already-evolving team...

It’s also painfully obvious which players need to leave my football club now.

Love hearing Shearer telling everyone what a manager should do, did such an amazing job at Newcastle.

Difference is that shearer is in a position where he can get a job at Newcastle. You lot on here all seem to be able to tell puel exactly what to do though.

Puel takes some blame, he sees all his players in training everyday. He knows whether they'll play well together or not. He knows whether if UP AGAINST It they'll have the character to rise up. Some horrendous finishing today, but Puel has to take some blame there. This team didn't even look like they knew each others names in the first half im afraid.

Why have some of your best players, Mendy Maddison and Ricardo, sat on the bench. They’ve not been rested, they’ve still had to train for this game. Pathetic.

Shearer is spot on; rested players for Carabao Cup and lost then we do the same in the FA Cup and lose again! We get what we deserve but it's the fans who are let down.

He just read this forum,in the last 2 weeks....!!!

I'm going to go with all available evidence:

Current position- 7th.

Position under Puel last season- 9th.

So, probably top half.

Albrighton worked hard...

Thing is Puel made the dreadful decision to swap Simpson for the awful Gray (when the game was crying out for Ricardo).

Albrighton should not have been anywhere near the right back position to give the Penalty away in the first place.

Then Puel finally, finally takes off Matty James (only to put on Andy King ???!!!)
