Countryfox Posted 12 January 2019 Posted 12 January 2019 Spend AT LEAST one day of training every week on taking corners, penalties and shooting practice ... and as I’ve been saying for the last zillion years .. get another striker ... NOW !!!

foxes_rule1978 Posted 12 January 2019 Posted 12 January 2019 Lost to Cardiff, we were fortunate Everton are so bad they couldn’t score, Newport was embarrassing and so is this result...

Nothing to do with Puel. Bored of talking about him Shame we couldnt get back into it. Harvey Barnes looked great. Not staying on here to read all the boo boy Puel out idiotic comments Apart from Man City, When is the last time you seen us have a good first half? Genuine question.

Difficult to see where we go from here. Mendy having a bad game is an understatement. He sucked - main reason for the loss. Ricardo wasn't up to his standard today either, which didn't help as he had a role in both goals.
knitro Posted 12 January 2019 Posted 12 January 2019 Why the **** can't our fullback drive consistently to the end line - the goal came from it! Instead we get these insipid crosses to a striker being marked by a 10 foot viking

If Top was there today he'll have definitely gotten a sense of which way the wind is blowing now, I think a lot of on-the-fencers have snapped after the past week.
Dahnsouff Posted 12 January 2019 Posted 12 January 2019 Just curious. Do you guys (and girls) have like a club? Is it in a tree house? Maybe you wear hoods and stuff. Maybe I shouldn’t ask.

KingKoala Posted 12 January 2019 Posted 12 January 2019 That was one of the most frustrating game ever.
rachhere Posted 12 January 2019 Posted 12 January 2019 I really really don't see him hanging on after this one to be honest.
foxfanazer Posted 12 January 2019 Posted 12 January 2019 Get rid and continue the cycle we're in. Keep the fraud players though. It can't be their fault

vanity Posted 12 January 2019 Posted 12 January 2019 We simply have no clue how to finish. Crossing intonthe middle over and over is a lazy way to play. We had plenty of scoring opportunities this game, we just shank and miss over and over again. And Mendy with the wholly unnecessary penalty, just like Albrighton last game, now Claude gets blamed again for our players being brainless on the pitch. Blame away boys, Puel has done more to develop young talent and position this club for the future than any manager in recent memory, and we probably need another summer window, maybe even two, to finally get this team playing at a level we beat these weaker sides regularly and compete w the top 6. If that is our real goal, we need to stay the course. If we want to be stupid and fire him and go back to playing an exclusively counterattacking style, we will just go back to being a mid-tier team struggling to crack the top ten, and we'll eventually be relegated. Which is not to say Claude is blameless. Our lads suck at finishing, they have no imagination re breaking down a box like Southampton's, we need a big striker who is steong with his hold up play and gets other players involved. The reality is that Vardy isn't worth much when we play teams who did what Soythampton just did. If all we are going to do is float balls into the box, we need players with the size to be a threat. Claude, go bloody well find someone as a Vards alternative we can replace him with in these situations. The team should've looked to involve Barnes more, when he went central he went quiet, but he looked more creative than Maddison on the ball out there. We need to see about starting him if we are going to play this way, Albrighton's crossing is fairly worthless as a goal-scoring tactic with Vardy in the middle. We need wings on both sides who can attack the edge and play in Vards or Mads making runs. I want to see this 2H personnel grouping to start games, when we don't have ten men in the box to beat.
Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 12 January 2019 Posted 12 January 2019 Well at least they had a jolly good rest last week, and of course the next FA cup round. Gutted. ?

TheSomersetFox Posted 12 January 2019 Posted 12 January 2019 For me, after the Christmas we had and the position we’re in, Puel deserves at least the rest of this season. Mendy has cost us but the crosses to no one were equally annoying. Just shite
FreoBondy Posted 12 January 2019 Posted 12 January 2019 If I never saw Claude Puel ever again. I would be quite happy. Time to get someone better, who can take us forward. He can't.
The Doctor Posted 12 January 2019 Posted 12 January 2019 So, everyone's overreacting to fine margins. Not great first half, second half far better. There's a clear penalty not given on Vardy about 3 minutes after Ndidi scores. Referee gets a decision right for once and gives that, I don't doubt we win. A few poor performances first half (Albrighton and Mendy) which Puel correctly identified and changed. As Claude said in the week, y'all need a reality check. Also, shout out to the "fan" stood next to me (SK1, MM, seat 6). Not chanting, shouting abuse at Chilwell and Grey every time a cross was part cleared and that we need it to hoof it to Vardy because that's how we won the title, then making more noise at the end booing and shouting Puel Out. You're everything wrong with the clubs fanbase
Mark Posted 12 January 2019 Posted 12 January 2019 In what world is our manager to think Mendy Ndidi and Choudhury together would work at home to these
SixtiesFox Posted 12 January 2019 Posted 12 January 2019 Manager sets up the team. Negative, cautious, painfully slow tempo against a poor team lacking in confidence. Take the initiative rather than surrender it. This is Puel ball. How often have we seen it? Anyone who can't see where the problem lies must be blind.
