Marc Albrighton signs deal until 2022

Someone once said Albrighton would be the last of the title winning XI to be starting regularly - perhaps they were right.

Maybe Kasper but Albrighton won't be far off. Does help that they were some of the younger players in that team.

Overall, very good contract extension. He may have limitations in his creativity and crossing at times but when it's good, it's good. And one thing you always get is 100% effort.

He's got his limitations but makes up for that in sheer effort; he'll be a big asset to us over the next few seasons no matter how infrequently he plays.

We'll be telling our grandchildren about that Sevilla goal.

Content with this, ideally we have to better wide players by the summer though so he isn’t starting. Love the bloke but I’m not sure he’s good enough to be a long term regular for a side chasing 7th

There’s not many modern day pro footballers I’d like to sit down and have a beer with, but Albrighton is one of them.

Good for him and good for us. Everyone loves a player who always gives 100%

Nobody plays harder minutes who plays that many minutes.  Not only running but also physicality, despite a smaller frame.

Likely his last, best contract -- unless he drops to the bench, he may be worn out at 32.   Ready to retire with a little nipper or two running round his feet.

Can see him pulling a bit of a Milner and transitioning to a centre midfielder. He’s definitely got the engine to play in the middle and hes good enough on the ball.

Glad to see he’s staying though.

Actually a really good point, could he play as the forward passing CM we are desperate for? Grey on left, Barnes on right, MA in CM.

Happy for Marc.

The difference between us now and 15-16 was we had 11 players with Marc Albrighton's level of effort on the pitch in 15-16!

Properly winds me up when football fans think that if a team plays well its because they've put more effort in. As though all we need to do to win the league again is 'try a bit harder'.

The stars aligned, we had no injuries, we had Vardy, Mahrez and Kante all playing at a world class level, we had a defence that was limited but solid, we had a goalkeeper that only needed to save shots and is excellent at it, we had no competition from the big teams, we had some excellent players, we had amazing team spirit, we had a way of playing that was simple but effective among many other things.

Brillaint news , definitely one of our better signings and adds to it that he was free .He along with Huth  made a huge difference in the great escape season when he eventually  got played . And like others have said always gives 100% and I’ve never heard of him moaning when he is not being played .
