Credit where credit is due, Puel got his tactics spot on. Completely nullified one of those most clinical, offensive teams in the world.

 

Also to the scouers, I think you deserved a penalty, but hey, evens itself out right?

Serious though, no doubt we deserved the points. Reckon we had the better chances and perhaps should have won with Maddison missing that header and Gray not squaring it to him

Maddison is going through a poor spell but I'm sure he'll get through it. Ricardo and Maguire were the stand outs for me.

Frustrating that we couldn't convert one of those opportunities 2nd half as I doubt Liverpool had it in them to come back tonight.

 

Understand the rationale but a bit annoyed Puel invited that pressure last 10 minutes.

Ndidi was absolutely fantastic today.. bossed it. Sick of seeing so much negativity around him when he is one of the most promising players we've had in my lifetime. Hamza should start over Mendy - thought he was our only player who had a poor game.

 

Imagine if Madison hadn't pussied out of the header, or Gray had squared it instead of making the wrong decision as per usual.

You'd take that point and performance every day of the week though. Solid showing!

 

Also I think that means as things stand we have taken more points from losing positions than any other team in the league. That does show we have a Benny Hill tendency to lead to our own downfall, but it's also a really positive sign to be able to fight back, especially with so many youngsters in the team.
