Beechey Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 https://www.lcfc.com/news/1011068/andy-king-joins-derby-county-on-loan/press-release Good luck, Andy!
Tuna Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Hope we give him the testimonial he deserves before his contract is up.
shen Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Not so long ago we were getting Oakley and Howard, both past their prime, from Derby a league above. Now we're sending our longest serving player and most successful (?) midfielder to them in the league below.
Long Eaton Fox Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Proud to have seen you take us from league 1 to the premiership title. Our top scoring midfielder ever. Well done Andy and good luck.
Corky Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Shame that his last two games for us (Fleetwood and Newport) were so dire. Offered plenty at times and always conducted himself extremely well. Deserves the chance to start a new career.
foxfanazer Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Don't care what anybody says, he's a Leicester legend! Glad he's gone to Derby and not Forest. Should do a decent job for Lampard Good luck Andy
TrentFox Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Kingy has been first class for us for Avery. Very long time. Good luck to him. It also makes the dealings today in midfield even better. We have lost two players who were never going to play and replaced them with one that will. At the same tkme, we reduced the wage bill, most likely. Great work.
Foxhateram Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Still think he has more to offer than Mendy but hey that's an unpopular opinion. Annoyed it's Derby, but I suppose it means he doesn't have to move his family etc. Great guy, I know him well, he is pretty gutted to have not been given the opportunity to prove himself here over the last few years, and is actually rather frustrated at the club, understandably. Always given his all and has done a good job whenever he has been called upon and despite not playing has been fit and ready to step in on all occasions. Good luck Andy. Nuge will be pleased to have his wingman back.
Jaspa Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 bit sad really. I know Darrbeh have been looking better under Lampard but it's still Derby. Good luck to him, should tear it up
Golden Fox Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Not sure how I feel about this... it really is a no win situation. - It makes me a little sick in the stomach to see a Leicester legend standing proudly in a Derby shirt - but it was a ridiculous situation for him to still be at the club and not in the 1st team squad, so he is doing his best for us by agreeing to this. Good luck Andy! / hope it ends in a miserable flame out as Derby miss the playoffs Andy!* * delete as applicable
Tanya Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Brilliant servant for the club. Legend. I hope you kill it there, Kingy. Championship is still a very good league so he should enjoy getting gametime there.
DerbyshireFox Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Doesn’t feel right seeing him in a Derby shirt ?, but he deserved a decent move. Thank you Kingy for all you’ve contributed over the past 10-12 years. Our highest scoring midfielder and one of our most decorated players. Always did us proud. I’ll take it as a compliment that Derby now have four ex Foxes in their squad now ??. I’ll be checking how he’s getting on, one of my best mates has a Season ticket for Derby
LCCFox96 Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Derby is a great move for King. Hope he rediscovers his best form out there and it'll be good to see him playing regularly again. A sensible move for all parties.
Heymister2015 Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 King was part of a poor Leicester team! When the club moved forward he had the pleasure of watching drinkwater/James win the championship, cambiasso/drinkwater survive and kante/drinkwater win the premier league. He became the longest serving player simply because no one came in for him!

Arriba Los Zorros Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Useless player at this level, and probably not good enough for one of the better Championship sides either. Although I do like him and hope he does something there.

You probably shouldn’t have said you think he offers more than Mendy (he doesn’t at the level we’re at) and then followed it up by claiming to be his pal

He was vital in league 1 season and in the play off season 1, 2 and our Championship promotion. He also played a big part in our first prem season and then scored some important goals to keep our momentum in the title winning season. He deserves better.

Also did excellently the in the great escape the season before. He must've completely dropped off because I can't see how his/our resume doesnt get him a Cardiff/Huddersfield/Fulham at least
Foxhateram Posted 31 January 2019 Posted 31 January 2019 Just now, Samilktray said: You probably shouldn’t have said you think he offers more than Mendy (he doesn’t at the level we’re at) and then followed it up by claiming to be his pal Why not? Mendy has-been terrible for us and shipped off under previous managers. I feel King has more to offer, especially in a attacking sense. I never said I was his pal, just that I know him well. I.e I work with someone from his family.
