Chilwell & Maguire in England squad.

Is it? Because Leicester fans have been telling everyone how rubbish he's been.

Alot of our fans can be ruddy stupid, so it depends who you decide to listen to.

For me, honestly I don't think he's fully fit, meaning an extra week off here and there could benefit him & us in the long run, and onto next season where in the summer where I think he can sort himself out and we'll see him complete a full 90mins more often without hobbling off the pitch

I thought Barkley looked very good up until around Christmas, he looked stronger than before and was going past opponents again but since he returned from an injury he just plays lukewarm, huffs and puffs, moves the ball on but doesn't seem to have that spark or flair and looks uncomfortable and ineffective in the big games. Probably been coaching the spontaneous moments of skill out of him!

Well done to our boys, no surprise though, they deserve it.

Has Maddison played well enough recently to warrant an England call-up? He's had moments but been pretty inconsistent, so on that basis I'd say no on this occasion. However, compared to some of those who have been called up, he can probably feel a little hard done by to miss out. He'll 100% be in the squad sooner rather than later, though. Just needs to hit a purple patch in form and breakthrough.

Otherwise, you compare this England squad to our group of young players and you've got to say that our youngsters really aren't far off. Maguire and Chilwell are obviously already in, Maddison is close enough and even Gray has had a call-up back when he was in better form. Barnes is mustard and its only a matter of time for him, and Choudhury has looked every bit as good as Dier on the occasions when he's ben called upon. Exciting times.

There are most definitely some players in that squad in shocking form or barely playing club football, but some of them have been influential for Southgate in the last year so it's difficult to always pick players on current club form if they've done well internationally for you. There's been plenty of players over the years that despite club form either are muck at international level or poor domestically and then turn it on in their national shirt.

Maddison has been in poor form since about October, he's not done enough to warrant a call up.

Ward-Prowse is more unlucky not to be included, he should be in instead of Barkley.

Pretty sure he has created the most goal scoring chances across all leagues in Europe or England can't be doing that bad.

90% of the squad picking itself and they will always be there if available. 3 right and left backs because he doesn’t want to choose one to miss out. Rice deserves call up, time to try Trent AA in midfield? There has been speculation he could move forward.
