Cool People

Excluding all of us as we're obviously the coolest who are some of the most incredible people alive?

The reason I ask is I've just watched The Dawn Wall on Netflix about a free climber named Tommy Caldwell who conquered a  route on Yosemite that had never been attempted. His back story is incredible as well.

When climbing with friends in Kyrgyzstan they were captured by rebels and made to walk for days without food and water in the mountains. One day they were left with just one rebel and Tommy caught him by surprise and pushed him off of a cliff.

He also cut one of his fingers off in a panel saw accident and was told he'd never be able to climb again but still managed to go on to achieve one of the biggest feats in climbing history.

The documentary led me to YouTube about free climbing which took me to a guy called Alex Honnold who achieved a 3,000 free solo (no ropes or support) climb of another El Cap (Yosemite) route

Totally in awe of these superhumans who look to push the boundaries of what is possible in life

Recently watched 'Free Solo' , how Alex managed to climb El Capitan is beyond words.

Watch ' Touching the Void'  a true story of two friends and their nightmare climb of the Siula Grande, a truly unbelievable story.

He seemed a bit of an awkward individual but I suppose you have to have a few screws loose to even contemplate doing anything like that. I'll give that one a go thanks
