We’re watching a living legend doing his thing, drink it in folks, it won’t go on forever, it’s a privilege that it’s at our club, the memories will stay but embrace every moment, it still gives me goosebumps

It’s remarkable that at 37 he’s head and shoulders the best striker in the league. He’d be way out in front he’d been fit all season. World class.

The last 2 games have been perfect moments to sign off for him, so glad he’s scoring important goals right until the end and he hasn’t faded away on the bench. 

 

I remember his first goal away at Blackburn and fingers crossed he’ll score against them again, what a ****ing journey it’s been.

For his age, and his playing time this season it’s unbelievable that only 4 players have more goals than him this season.

Would love him to get 4 goals in the last 2 games and hit 20 for the season.

Also, just 12 goals away from the 200 club for us!

His movement and runs tonight were vintage stuff. Against West Brom in the last game it was the same. He put in a couple of tackles early on that would have stirred anyone on that pitch into action. The guy is a legend and should be celebrated as such.

The way he was at the West Brom game and tonight you do get the sense it’s coming to an end. Just going from behaviour and body language. It can’t be though, he’s still got a year left at whatever level. I’d like to think he wouldn’t hold the club to ransom either and take reduced terms.

I honestly think he got something to offer even in the prem, for one more year. But the club probably can’t afford to offer what he’ll definitely get abroad but he deserves that. So here’s hoping her goes out having helped us get back to the prem. 🐐

I'm pretty confident he will do another year. With the club so far from ffp compliance I really don't think we can afford to try and replace him right now. Daka isn't up to it, ineacho will be off and the manager doesn't like cannon so another year will suit everyone.
