Jamie Vardy Appreciation

Recommended Posts

He only had 16 touches of the ball today but still ended up with a goal and an assist! If went down to that challenge in the first half he might have had a penalty, and he should have put Barnes through too.

The man still has it! Him and Ricardo have been our best players so far this season.

What I like about Vardy & many are missing it, he was changed bis approach & style to games und seen,

where small changes makes him a better Player & will keep him going for a Bit longer yet..

I mentioned a couple of seasons ago,he has more to his game, than this forum, und outside Pundits give him Credit for...

If our Front Line, way back to Shinji had Converted the ( some great) chances that Vardy created from the wings, or playing across/through the line his assist would be a lot higher,  & Leicester wouldnt of lost so many games..

He can still Take on players better  than Barnes, has more Control than Nacho & Maddison, and is One of the quickest players

to Read the game or Spot a Pass in the PL,

our players Lack of being able to consistently give him the Service has been nothing Short of criminal..!

i believe when he has times when he doesn't convert, is he feels more stress,

because he knows he should be using those few times when he does get the ball.

Maddison Not being mentality or Physical Match fit,has Not helped,Plus Tielemans  is Too often Too deep...

I would still Love to see him Play with Nacho, with a fit Maddison/Albrighton & Barnes supporting him.

So what do we think; who’ll finish higher up the all time list at the end of the season? Vardy or Lukaku?

Sadly probably Lukaku but looking good for Vardy to get as high as 13th this season. It’s quite a jump then to Van Persie on 144. Be excellent if he could reach Owen’s 150 but that’s going to be some ask now

Is that not a contradiction?

Be interesting to see how much ground Ronaldo makes up as well. Sadly think Lukaku will overtake him inevitably as will Mo Salah eventually.

But our Vards is still one of the greats. As some have said, if he could pass Michael Owen who once said he isn't a "natural finisher" it would be very sweet.

Can definitely get to Hasselbaink though

Ronaldo 36 behind Vardy, no way will he get close to Vardy’s total.
