Premier League Thread 2019/20

No point worrying about other teams, it’s still in our hands, if we bottle it then it’s our own fault.

As for United, they are improving massively, Fernandes has made a huge difference.

We will win tomorrow! Chill guys.

also if anyone said in March you’d be going into the last 10 games. 3rd 5 point off 5th with a game in hand I’d have snapped their hands off.

There was going to be a couple of weekends when we’ve got to step up in achieving your ambitions. That’s the nature of football. Now the question is being asked just as it was in that home straight of 2016. Players step up or they wither.

The possible mitigating factor of being comfortable in 3rd place is now all but gone. Get going City or get ****ed

When we win tomorrow you lot are going to feel silly for being THIS worried by a result.

This place is bordering on paranoia right now. Fighting Cock levels.

It's so frustrating.

It's more annoying than potentially not winning tomorrow. No wonder it's so negative in the ground. People going in to the game as if we've already lost.

I'm sorry but Man U are not a good team. They're basically an expensive Burnley. Ederson hardly ever makes a mistake and yet has gifted them both goals. Surely we're due a keeper doing that for us?

Ederson only 'hardly ever makes a mistake' because he's hardly ever called upon.

Time after time in the big games where they actually need a decent goalkeeper to bail them out, he lets them down.

They won't win a champions league with him in the sticks.

'Fraid we've blown it. Liverpool Man C Chelsea and Man u for CL places. Tottenham and Wolves for EL. Maybe Sheff utd could scrape in. Abysmal drop off in form over past 15 games has done for us. Shame.

Lol you know we're still 3rd?

Well yeah. It won’t matter who’s fault it is. We need to win. The players need to show fight. They’re playing like a bunch of melts and snowflakes atm.

Calm all. It's still in our hands. Bear in mind City were awful today and Man U won't win every game from now until the end of the season. We are still in the driving seat. Win tomorrow and it's back to 8 points.

Imagine saying we've blown it 5 points clear of 5th.

Yes the form hasn't been great but come on man. Just means we'll have to win a few.

To say it's all over is insane.

Thought Fernandes wasn't great today. Yes, he set up the first goal but only because of terrible defending and even worse goalkeeping. Other than that hardly touched the ball.

It is a bit of a joke really. Pep obviously focusing on other competition especially Champions League. Not as fair on teams that are still playing for something ie us. Similar to when opposition are in relegation battles.

But this is the thing. They had Real Madrid four days before playing us. He put out his strongest possible team.

He plays his binmen today when they have Arsenal in the week. No selection of Mahrez after not playing against Villa was baffling.

The way we’re playing, we’ll do well to win 3 of our last 10 ffs

I think the same. Very good with his feet but there's plenty of better shotstoppers than him including Kasper.

Very basic thinking.

Basic I know but now its that obvious if we lose to villa providing that shefield and man u keep their runs going it would take a miracle to finish top 4 and me being a pessimist also taking into account rogers' collapse at liverpool we probably won't even make the europa league.

I thought he'd have gone strong today and Arsenal but weaker against Burnley. Burnley at home should be a walkover for them and then they've got Madrid 3 days after.

Burnley are in amazing form, no reason for them to be a walkover at the moment against anyone.

Wow I would hate to be with some people on here if we were in 6th place and not looking like we would get a champions league spot... They must be the same who have bought 5000 loo rolls just incase...
