Spot on.  We do not need to be handing out Pension Top-Up Contracts to has-beens.   Leave that to Standard Life or Legal and General.

This would be awful business and up there with the signing of Slimani.  NO THANKS.

Yeah. Like that Cambiaso tosser.

I love how everybody is so quick to shut this down just like when we got promoted from the championship and a lot of people said Cambiasso is never gonna happen.

I thought Cambiaso did a great job for us personally.

If you’re saying no to this you’re the definition of miserable. How. ****ing. Funny. Would this be?!

Brendan’s just playing footy manager here if he pulls this off.

People wanting to pay this bloke over 5m a year just to offer some experience in the dressing room? Why not sign someone who would be a regular starter AND offer something in the dressing room.

Why would it be 5m a year?

Surely we would only offer what we wanted to, like you say he wouldn't be a regular and he would know that, if he wants a big pay out he can go the MLS if he genuinely wanted to be here and it was a mutually beneficial arrangement, then i cant see any harm in it.

i certainly  wouldn't mind seeing Robben sitting on the bench as an attacking option to bring on in a pinch, I really dont know anyone wouldnt want that.

Hopefully he could teach Gray a thing or two at the very least.

With just one game of football left people need to become much more light hearted about some of these transfer threads and their sauces or they won’t see next season due to having strokes.

He wouldn't accept 50k a week to come here, not when he's on about 140k a week at Munich.

He doesn't have much choice if we're the only team offering that much.

What you earned previously at a club that have released you has no relevance on your future earnings.

MLS clubs, Chinese clubs, Qatar clubs will all be willing to take him on I bet, so he'll have the option of much higher earnings. There's no way Robbens coming here to earn 50k a week.

It would be great to have a Cambiasso type player who can lead and inspire the players and the team and have the players think "wow"  we've signed him but we shouldn't be signing players that want one final big payday. we want players that will contribute to the team and improve the overall team performance.
