Arjen Robben

People are dismissing him based on his age, but having him for the games that we have all the possession and cant break teams down would be incredible.  Not to mention the positive influence he would have on others in the dressing room.

Should he be first choice, no. But as an option from the bench (if we can afford that option) would be a no brainer.

Having seen Robben as recently as the weekend, he most definitely starts when our options are Albrighton, Gray and Ghezzal.

I'd take a 40 year old Robben over them tbh

Merc says we’re not in talks with him

No offence, but the Merc isn't exactly breaking in information or secret sources in the club. A lot of the time Tanner needs to be smacked in the face with a story before he sees it.

The translation is either off or they've taken it out of context. He wasn't referring to Leicester when he said that - it even says in the Mail article. He was talking about whether or not to retire.

Ahh thanks for that, sorry for being wide of the mark

Do people watch the same games as me? Albrighton is absolutely mustard and has ended up being a nailed on starter under the last 5 managers.

Possibly not. I love Albrighton for his work rate but he's rather one dimensional.

Good squad player, yes. Nailed on starter? If we don't have better options than him as a starter then we've failed in the window.

His age is irrelevant he can still score goals and make assists granted his game time has decreased over the years but he has still got it, and would most comfortably be our best winger imo.

Surely this continues to be nonsense.

But I’ll entertain it as Robben in his day was probably one of my favourite footballers ever.

I trust the Merc on this one. If they don't know they'll say they've not heard any news to that effect, but they've actually said definitively that we are not in talks so that implies they've called up someone at the club to check.

Would it be unpopular of me to say that this would be bigger than Cambiasso?

Tanner says nothing in it

Needs punctuation.

Either...

Tanner says, nothing in it

Or

Tanner says nothing, in it
