Compared with all other clueless managers we have had over many decades he got off very likely.

Whilst, as supporters at the ground shown through lack of acknowledgement he did nothing to embrace himself in the club.

I agree to an extent but that’s just not his personality. He’s naturally a very quiet timid guy. In my opinion the abuse he got was on a more personal and aggressive level than other managers, apart from maybe some of the abuse Pearson got during his first spell on our long winless streak.

Reading a number of posts in this thread I seriously wonder why some of you support us as as you're so feckin unhappy about so many things?

Wanting an improvement doesn't take away my support for the club.

Mine was a general observation, my personal feeling is these recent years are by far the best and most sustainable period in our clubs history and I am very happy with the direction we are going in. I think some are just being entitled or deluded and moaning for the sake of moaning.

I do not doubt your support and I am very interested in how you and others that are unhappy will achieve this improvement ,with what areas and how?

The fact that it is 50 years since we were last in an FA cup final when previous to that we were in three in a decade. (don't even mention the fact that were are 4 times losing finalists without ever winning the thing - a record by the way).

I know there are plenty of other clubs the same but this period covers some of our best teams and consistent periods (Bloomfield's boys, MON era, 2015-)

No, you have to be happy with absolutely everything inside and outside of the club. If you're not happy then you'd better damn well be willing to die for the cause otherwise you're a plastic. :scarf:

I think the vast majority of gripes in this thread are pretty justified to an extent, and the fact that some posters have pointed them out does not mean that they are any less devoted to the club we all love, does it? Manchester United have been far and away the greatest British team in my lifetime (27 years) but I wouldn't say that their fans do not have a right or reason to complain about their owners, atmosphere or whatever just because they've had a good ride for a large percentage of the past couple of decades. Same goes for Man City who have won the footballing lottery by all accounts; I'm almost certain that they have hardcore fans with a couple of grumbles about the match day experience or certain elements inside/outside of the club - I wouldn't say they should go and pootle off to another side because they think club X does things better than they do.

There's a man who sits behind me at home games that moans from minute 0 to the final whistle and berated Mahrez for practically his entire career at Leicester for being lazy, am I allowed to be slightly embarrassed that we have such fans, or must I tear up my season ticket and chain myself to Birch's car until he is removed from the stadium?

How many are actually related to things happening on the pitch though? Most comments are gripes at things the fans do, not that they are pissed off because we are short of quality right-backs.

Do you not think what is happening on the pitch and around the club have an affect on the atmosphere ie I feel the atmosphere has lifted noticeably since Brendan arrived.

As for things the fans do ,with approximately 29000 folks, different ages/sex/ demographics the factors will always dictate that pockets and elements will do stuff that irks others, that's life.

There's some very sensitive people that get easily embarrassed and I for one don't give a rats ass about what fans of other clubs may think of us.

Leicester fans have always moaned and being dour is part of our identity.

On the football and business side of things I genuinely think we're in the top six best run clubs in the country and we've made tremendous progress over the past decade. Still, there are certain things I wish were different and this thread is dedicated to that.

The club allowing Keith Vaz to sit in the same area as Top and co during home games..

Allowing Keith Vaz in full stop.

Our away support has received a lot of mentions in this thread (and rightly so in my opinion), but I think one of the reasons for the huge decline is because the song book has stagnated. There's a direct correlation between the two.

In the early stages of 2014/15 for example, we had the Ulloa chant and our away ends benefited because of it - the 0-1 win at Stoke springs to mind.

The large periods of silence at away games comes partly from the fact that people just aren't arsed - but also largely from the fact that people simply don't know what to sing anymore.

I firmly belive that if we pulled 3 or 4 top quality original chants together, our volume away from home would improve drastically.

Look at Liverpool, songs like Allez Allez Allez became the soundtrack of their Champions League run last season and it all started from a few ordinary blokes putting some effort into finding a tune and then some decent lyrics to match.

We, meanwhile, have three hugely promising English talents in our side and sing 'He's one of our own' for every single one of them. It's dire.

Getting a group of likeminded people together and being creative with tunes and lyrics that haven't hit the Premier League yet would go a long way to changing things, in my opinion.
