Caglar played a pivotal role to convince Under to come to LCFC. Under dropped after MOTM performance vs Arsenal and we all know the rest of the story. It was devastating for the Cags. Also after the Tottenham game BR gave him a very harsh treatment front of the other players in dressing room and he retaliated said * we don't get enough help from midfield no one either pressing for ball or even approaching us to ask for ball. We are completely left alone* That talk back was end of him and Brendan Rogers put him on his black list since... That's what I gathered from Turkish sports newspapers He's been incredible since he's come back in, all mom performances for me, we should be building our defence for the future round him! How damning that the most influential players last night, Soyuncu, Iversen and Vardy, were all let down by or weren't played by Rodgers, probably tells you all you need to know about his judgement. His fitness levels suggest that it was a total myth that he wasn't training well and the standard of play and effort he's been putting in, despite every right to sit back, go mardy and just wait for his summer move bares testament to his true character. I will miss him and wish him all the best in his future career. 7
SK3Blue Posted 2 May 2023 Posted 2 May 2023 Appears that Rodgers didn't get mad but got even where Cags is concerned. He will be missed, he's been tremendous and has slotted back in superbly well. 2
Sly Posted 2 May 2023 Posted 2 May 2023 I said it yesterday. He’ll be my pick for player of the season if we somehow manage to stay up. 3
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 2 May 2023 Posted 2 May 2023 Ffs. Our best defender. Plus a real character. On a free to a better side than us. Horrendous. 3

Still conceding goals and chances at the same rate we were when either Souttar or Amartey were playing. ...we need to defend from the front, it is what Vardy has been trying to get us to do!!! Get the midfield to support and it takes the pressure off our defence. I think we need to have KDH back in the team for he brings an intensity to our play.

MPH Posted 4 May 2023 Posted 4 May 2023 (edited) I’m so delighted to have cags back in the side but I’m concerned as to the effect this is going to have on Souttar. It’s going to knock his confidence a bit and it it’s a bit awkward for him atm. Still, if we stay up it will be worth it of course.. Edited 4 May 2023 by MPH

If you'll watch the game again, you'll able to see it clearly. Cags won most his duel with him during the game. Edited 4 May 2023 by kiwiturk 4

Cags must have bailed out Thomas at least 2/3 times when he didn’t have the athleticism to keep up with Iwobi. 1

I agree (clearly someone doesn’t or doesn’t want to for some reason) I will accept that faes had a tougher time than cags but no way would I say that our CB’s came out of that game with a win against him. he bullied our back 4. But in that context, cags is our best option to take him on. Edited 5 May 2023 by st albans fox
tinpot_fox Posted 5 May 2023 Posted 5 May 2023 The Guardian ten things to look for this weekend sort of blames injury to Evans and Fofanas desire to leave, as leaving us short at the back, failing to mentioned Cags being fit but not played… 2
Onions Posted 8 May 2023 Posted 8 May 2023 Turkish Matt Mills, awful, awful player. No idea how he's been hyped up and is consistently awful. 2 1

Popular Post Matt Posted 8 May 2023 Popular Post Posted 8 May 2023 Signed for another club but still far more committed to the cause than 'Madders' and Tielemans. 11

SouthStandUpperTier Posted 8 May 2023 Posted 8 May 2023 We don't have a single decent defender at the club. And that includes Cags. If he's an upgrade on Faes, Souttar and Amartey it's not by much.
