FoxInTheBox89 Posted 29 August 2019 Posted 29 August 2019 it was a fantastic tackle, well within the rules. I like how Richie ending up on the other side of the pitch
TheLittleBigMan Posted 29 August 2019 Posted 29 August 2019 How long before players like hamza start second guessing how they go about tackling. Anyone else think that's one of the best parts of his game?? I've seen hesitancy sneak in more and more in recent seasons. It's a contact sport. How about we concentrate on the diving, play acting, ref conning, fan robbing culture, rather than a good old fashion honest tackle. Fu*k yes.

He is actually injured ..... whatever your view on the challenge, the player had to be subbed off and will probably be out for a few weeks with ligament damage ......

Pliskin Posted 29 August 2019 Posted 29 August 2019 It was Richie’s pussy reaction that caused Hamza to get booked. It was a perfect tackle, hard but fair. Nothing wrong with that, at all the games gone!
David Hankey Posted 29 August 2019 Posted 29 August 2019 I see Bruce is bleating on about what he describes as a "horror challenge". He appears to forget how he used to play. He'd be sent off in every game he played nowadays, the big lass!!
CosbehFox Posted 29 August 2019 Posted 29 August 2019 Naughty tackle for me, it’s the follow through. The original contact of the ball is good. I’d be raging if I was a Newcastle player with that
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 29 August 2019 Posted 29 August 2019 Sounds like another game where we don't quiet click. But yet we're still getting results. All bodes well for when Brendan finally finds the magic formula.

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 29 August 2019 Posted 29 August 2019 Great to get through to the next round up the Foxes

Tommo220 Posted 29 August 2019 Posted 29 August 2019 the thing is, the fact that its a conversation point means that the challenge was ill advised. whether we think it was OK or not, Hamza is going to find himself in hot water with premier league referees who see any challenge where a player goes to ground as being a potential red card. its juts how the game is now - and whether Bruce tackled like that i kind of irrelevant. i don't think the challenge was too bad, but knowing referees nowadays i wouldn't have been surprised to have seen Hamza sent off for it.
foxinsocks Posted 29 August 2019 Posted 29 August 2019 Gray on the bench... what was his demeanour like?
lcfcell Posted 29 August 2019 Posted 29 August 2019 Anyone know how Praet got on? From listening to lcfc radio it sounded like he was one of the better players
foxy boxing Posted 29 August 2019 Posted 29 August 2019 Two great saves from Kasper in the shootout, we should get past Luton in the next round. hopefully the players recover before Saturday. the main thing is we are in the next round.
ARM1968 Posted 29 August 2019 Posted 29 August 2019 When I used to play they called me Chopper. Not sure I’d have made it on to the pitch these days. Mind you in my playing days I only received one yellow card and that was for stuffing grass into some whinging cnuts mouth. Ahh well

Fair enough on the injury (never want to see anyone injured of course) it happens but to me was a solid challenge. I do think Hamza puts the boot in some of his tackles and it will rub some refs the wrong way. No doubt he will see red cards in his career.
Always Next Year Posted 29 August 2019 Posted 29 August 2019 Bruce going over the top about Hamza, yes it was a solid tackle but with no intent to hurt the guy. He did not go over the top as Bruce said he got the ball Ritchie ran on for a good 10 yards then fell and rolled over at least two times. Was he stretched off ! No he walked. Bruce poor looser, will be out of a job by the end of the season.

Nicolo Barella Posted 29 August 2019 Posted 29 August 2019 I love Hamza, but that's the second potentially serious injury he's caused in the space of months. I think he'll make his game more clinical as he gets playtime, but that is definitely something he should work on. Nobody likes an injury like Bamba's on the pitch, no matter what team it's for.
