Guest Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 Is it really so difficult to spell Choudhury's name correctly?

It's one of them surnames that tends to have multiple spellings depending on the region of its origin, in fairness. It's just easier to refer to him as Hamza IMO.

TheLittleBigMan Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 Can the fans get behind the team when we're suffering breaking them down? Think Rodgers made a very good point when he mentioned that in the presser. Will be interesting to see how the fans respond as much as how the team does. Can we get louder when the games gone quiet?

Yes indeed- lets bear in mind that the apparent aimless side to side passing ( if done at decent tempo) may well drain the energy of the opposition and allow some spaces to open up later on .......

Blanchflower78 Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 Early goal will massively help here. They'll aim to counter and weve hit problems before with that. Will miss Madders guile but hopefully Praet will step up. 3 points will psychologically set us up nicely for Anfield

Tom12345 Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 This is going to be a tough game. I am preparing mentally that we will lose this game. Things against us given our track record: - we have just beaten a Top 6 club - we now play lowly Newcastle - fans have high expectations - our inconsistency I hope I am wrong ...
Mickey O'Neil Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 Think it's going to be a dull game tomorrow. Patience definitely required. 1-0 to someone.

Can we get louder when the games gone quiet? ... why do you assume that they will be sitting back and looking to hit us on the break!! They pressed us last time and nullified our midfield, not giving them time on the ball. It would be strange if they were to deviate from that plan.
Blue ROI Posted 28 September 2019 Posted 28 September 2019 Tomorrow is a test of Rodgers. Now up against a team that beat us last season with him managing us. I don't expect any surprises from Newcastle so up to us to break them. No point saying otherwise this is a potential banana skin. They've been solid in their last 3 trips to us, beat Man CIty last season and rattled Liverpool. After what happened in Japan this weekend we have to be on our guard! Expect to have Praet starting but would hope for a better show than at Sheffield. His intros as a sub have been encouraging so hopefully he carries some of that form here should he start.
Stadt Posted 29 September 2019 Posted 29 September 2019 They aren’t pushovers but we’re more Liverpool than Watford these days so we should win. I find the apprehension a bit odd, yeah they beat us last season under a manager that left his abusive relationship with the club and we signed one of their best players. Now they’ve got a fat c unt, pigeon lady looking meatball of a man as manager.
