They pressed us last time and nullified our midfield, not giving them time on the ball. It would be strange if they were to deviate from that plan. They had a different manager the last time

I find the apprehension a bit odd, yeah they beat us last season under a manager that left his abusive relationship with the club and we signed one of their best players. Now they’ve got a fat c unt, pigeon lady looking meatball of man as manager. Smashed us by fourteen goals tomorrow then.
Deeg67 Posted 29 September 2019 Posted 29 September 2019 I don’t see any way they score 30 goals against us...

This is what happens when you don’t play DMs and go all out attack, yeah we scored 16, but with Wilf and Choudhury playing no we concede 30!
LestaAl Posted 29 September 2019 Posted 29 September 2019 ..............Just win it! At least by 3 so we can applaud the team at the end and go home smiling in the rain,

Ric Flair Posted 29 September 2019 Posted 29 September 2019 Barnes to score his first goal at home today. 2-0

WigstonWanderer Posted 29 September 2019 Posted 29 September 2019 Assuming Maddison is out I’d like to see how Barnes shapes up in a traditional 10 role, with an attacking emphasis. Kasper Ricardo Evans Soyuncu Chilwell Tielemans Praet Perez/Gray Barnes Albrighton Vardy Think we might be able to get away without Wilf for this one and squeeze a bit more creativity/ attack into the side. Any 3 of Perez, Gray and Albrighton.
Stephen Hughes Posted 29 September 2019 Posted 29 September 2019 Newcastle to sit back. City have 71% possession. Atsu makes it 1-0 first half. City win 3-1.
Filberts lovechild Posted 29 September 2019 Posted 29 September 2019 High scoring game 4-2 Leicester, based on absolutely nothing. Genuinely think we’ll get a win today though, would love to see Ritchie bullied about a bit by Wilf this time around too.
foxfanazer Posted 29 September 2019 Posted 29 September 2019 Such an important game today. Need to be stamping our authority against teams like these if we have any serious ambitions of top 6
treer Posted 29 September 2019 Posted 29 September 2019 This team is a foregone for top 6, people need to realise the ambition is 3rd, and who knows beat the barcode's today, and then a great big massive free hit at Anfield
dayday Posted 29 September 2019 Posted 29 September 2019 Well Brendan Rodgers said last season the next time we play a park your bus Newcastle side, you will see a different outcome, just hope he’s right
ThaiFox Posted 29 September 2019 Posted 29 September 2019 However we line up, BR must get them going from the start, with pace, drive and intent. The more we pass it around needlessly the more Newcastle will feel settled and comfortable. I read a review of the match where BR said our fans have got to be patient and not get on at the players if we can't break them down. I hope this isn't an insight that we're going to play a high possession match with no intent, and try slowly to break them down, because I think that will play into their hands. High intensity, lots of forward and dangerous passes. Look to take the game to Newcastle from the start and don't let up if we do score early.

Ted Maul Posted 29 September 2019 Posted 29 September 2019 Big test today- exactly the type of side we have come unstuck against in recent years. Win this convincingly and I might start thinking that Europe is a possibility.

Kasper Ricardo Evans Soyunu Chilwell Ndidi Tielemans Albrighton Perez Barnes Vardy 2-0 (Vardy, Perez)

UniFox21 Posted 29 September 2019 Posted 29 September 2019 Half of me thinks the Luton game was almost a trial run of Praet and Youri for today's game. We're going to need the creativity of the pair of them to overcome a Newcastle side that will likely sit there.
SAFC1 Posted 29 September 2019 Posted 29 September 2019 Ha’way Leicester, batter the horse punchers today.
