TheUltimateWinner Posted 4 November 2019 Posted 4 November 2019 **** sake Chris Kavanagh is ref for this. When was the last time we won when he reffed us and why do we get him so much?!

I thought this was an unhinged post just cause it's Kavanagh and yet... you're right Reffed us 11 times since 17/18 started. 2 Wins, 8 Losses, 1 Draw. Last win was the 2-0 win away to Brighton in 2018.
Guest An Sionnach Posted 4 November 2019 Posted 4 November 2019 Aubameyang will probably score because he is far too good for Arsenal, in fact I would only put Lewandowski and Messi in front of him, but given their haphazard defending we should be good for a 2-1 victory.

Accepting of course that we have to play everyone twice, it feels to me that a lot of these timed out well. Wolves - not ideal as they were match fit, but not a disaster Chelsea - went there before they got going, just after a heavy loss, wouldn't want to be playing them as much now. Sheff Utd - semi-shithoused a win before they got going, their defensive record is looking good. Bournemouth - saw a bogey team off whilst their defence was still poor, and without really hitting our straps Man Utd - it WAS a great time to go there, we just set up wrong. A lesson well learnt, it would appear. Spurs - players probably wanted to get back on the horse against a team nowhere near what they have been. Newcastle - ripe for the taking, our boys starting to go up a gear. Liverpool - might as well play them on a high, nothing to lose, and frankly deserved a draw. Shades of Arsenal away, Feb 14, 2016. Burnley - Found a way to win against a truly awkward opponent, playing under emotional duress, needing a win after 'pool. Southampton - a poor opponent with a bad attitude, and up another gear. Palace - again, play them when in form and full of belief. Some matches are just awkward, but I'd say we've not had to follow up our defeats with anything remotely challenging, and getting off to 4 unbeaten meant the annoying defeat at Man U has since been mitigated by the following results.
Guest Manini Posted 4 November 2019 Posted 4 November 2019 This game is going to be decided by VAR/terrible reffing decision you heard it here first.
Vacamion Posted 4 November 2019 Posted 4 November 2019 I'm surprised, 5 pages into this thread, that we don't have any of the really badly photoshopped "Vardy in an Arsenal shirt" images from when he was definitely 100% already signed for them.

Last win was the 2-0 win away to Brighton in 2018. And even in that win at Brighton he sent off Ndidi after a clear dive by Duffy. He's probably taken over from Moss as my least favourite ref. Just always looks nervous and favours the big teams.
NewquayFox Posted 4 November 2019 Posted 4 November 2019 Hopefully this City side will be too good & strong for Arsenal... I shall be watching this game at Ashbury golf complex near Okehampton after our 2nd round with a gang of Rugby oiks so hoping they support us as a couple are Cornish Tigers fans, last time we were live at this place it was against Man Utd and Vardy got THAT 11th goal....

holyfox Posted 4 November 2019 Posted 4 November 2019 Sorry for sounding like a broken record, but still applies. Brendan to keep the lads focused on closing down from the front and giving them no space. They are lightweight when they don’t have space and that should allow us to capitalise with our attacking firepower. same again Brendan
urban fox Posted 4 November 2019 Posted 4 November 2019 Vardy Scores....... rest of team strike the pose, JV makes camera mimes. All done of course in front of the away end. It needs to happen. It would be pure gold sh*thousery

Don’t know if anyone remembers this, but here’s Vards in our first game against Arsenal (Oct 2016) right after turning them down. He swapped shirts with Wilshere and put it on after the game. Proving all the Arsenal fans who said he’d be in an Arsenal shirt come the game correct. Great banter.
TJB-fox Posted 5 November 2019 Posted 5 November 2019 Bit of a sticky patch but this is Arsenal we’re talking about. Horrendous h2h against them too. Not going to be 3 or 4 nil like some fans are expecting. Tough game. I’m going 1-1 but a win would be humongous.
Guest Danny Clender Posted 5 November 2019 Posted 5 November 2019 If all we're playing against is our Arsenal History, then under current proceedings we're fine, nothing to fear in this game at all. We are currently better than Arsenal. What I love about the pre-match threads is the chance to talk a little tactically, team selections, formations etc etc. Right now there's no point, we play unchanged until something changes. boring.
Dahnsouff Posted 5 November 2019 Posted 5 November 2019 Suppose it’s a question of IF Arsenal will/can recover some form under Emre, or if they need a new manager before their form recovers. Lets go for the latter eh?
Deeg67 Posted 5 November 2019 Posted 5 November 2019 Arsenal are just screwing themselves if they fire Emery. He's a good manager and not the problem.
Out Foxed Posted 5 November 2019 Posted 5 November 2019 Just looked at the head to head and we’re unbeaten in 3 at home. So I’m a bit more positive about this than I was.

The tosser who cannot fathom that Leicester are a better option than the Arse is hilarious. It is entirely possible that there will never again be a big 6 or 4 or whatever. Times have changed
HighPeakFox Posted 5 November 2019 Posted 5 November 2019 And of course, isn't Arsenal at home next well timed, followed by 5 fixtures where we'd expect a positive result. It's statistically unlikely, but 6 wins out of 6 isn't beyond the realms of possibility. That'd be a great position from which to have the 2 hardest opponents to take on...
