Stadt Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 Southgate can't even keep the media on side anymore and that's the one thing he was good at. Stupid clown bastard
filbertway Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 Southgate's gonna do well to make it past this summer. Losing more and more backing of the nation with every fixture that gets played. He was a breath of fresh air when he first came in, the more he's in charge though, I think he has always had an idea of the squad he wants to pick and play (where possible), it just happened to be a bit younger and different to what was being picked before. His playing style is so negative, we'll barely create more than 5 chances in a game against a decent team. Chooses to play 2 defensive players in the middle, meaning over half the game seems to be played between the 4 defenders and 2 defensive midfielders against dross. He's just lucky we possess an incredible set of forwards at the minute who will always get him goals against the rubbish nations we usually play against. Whoever the FA goes for next, I hope they have a similar philosophy to Rodgers and Pep.
Soar Fox Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 Southgate was lucky to get the England job in the first place. His one club side he has managed he relegated them, then the Under 21’s in the one tournament he was in charge of they finished bottom of their group.

The press are a joke haha. Maddison went to the casino AFTER England sent him home from the squad. Why would he be punished? Journalists really love to be outraged over nothing.
UniFox21 Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 The amount of Instagram posts saying "All smiles in training" coming from the England camp are 100% fake to try to patch the impression in the media

UniFox21 Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 Delph has withdrawn apparently from the squad. 2nd time he's withdrawn in a row and thats now 2 midfielders withdrawn from the squad. Southgate should bring in reinforcements otherwise once again we'll get to a game where we need a change and we'll have 0 options as per. Henderson is also suspended for the first game. That leaves us with Maddison, Mount, Ox, Winks and Rice. So 3 start and 2 subs (3 with Henderson on the next game). But most are like for like.
ScouseFox Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 fu cking hell, are all interviews like that one? no wonder nigel pearson went mental and starting just calling them all pr icks and ostriches, there's a 12 minute video there and about 11 minutes of it are just chilwell repeating that they're focussing on the football and saying "yeah like i said". mad.

Why would Southgate put up one of the youngest and least experienced members of the squad to a press conference in such a difficult circumstances. It was surely a time for the captain to step up. Anyway, well done Ben You're a credit to the club.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 You 'squashed' it Chilly. Well done lad.
Dan Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 This Sterling / Gomez thing should've never got out. Grow up and play football. It didn't stop Spain winning things with a squad largely from Barcelona and Real Madrid.
foxile5 Posted 12 November 2019 Posted 12 November 2019 Ben absolutely loves an 'obviously', obviously.

They just seem to think that by asking the same question in different ways players are going to give out the information they want. Chilwell was never going to do anything beyond what he said, no matter how many times it is asked.

Still time to play for Ireland , sometimes think Harry wished he had done, get the f**king idiot media off of your back .He would get 100 caps for them and before you say they never win anything neither do England.

Nicolo Barella Posted 13 November 2019 Posted 13 November 2019 Seems like a lot of hate for Southgate on here... Sure he's mediocre but, he's not terrible. Considering the current state of international football it's not like we'd be very likely to get a better manager.
HybridFox Posted 13 November 2019 Posted 13 November 2019 Would love to see that line up https://www.skysports.com/football/news/12016/11859426/englands-best-xi-ahead-of-montenegro-and-kosovo-european-qualifiers-according-to-the-stats
Ric Flair Posted 14 November 2019 Posted 14 November 2019 Surely he makes his debut for England tonight? I think he'll start and score.

Ric Flair Posted 14 November 2019 Posted 14 November 2019 There's predictions of a midfield trio of Maddison, Mount and The Ox! Hahahaa surely not?
