Did really well holding up play and linking with wingers. Not always his strongest suit and not a fan of him playing up top on his own; but played really well. Toiled a lot

It was waist height? What's he meant to hit it with, his genitals?

If it had been Soy that would have been a goal, then :giggle:

You could see how much we missed his hold up play when he came off and the ball was bouncing off Daka and he was losing possession. He played really well today.

Usually Nacho is a great finisher but has poor link up / hold up play. Today it was the other way round!

Overall he looked good today, just needed to bag. But that was promising IMO, shows us he can lead the line himself.

Good game. Missed a sitter where he'd usually score but created it himself anyway.

Clearly a goal every 120 mins type player if starting every game. Just need to tweak our game to his strengths when Vardy isn't playing.

Deserved a goal today. Ran his marker a few times and held the ball much better than in previous games. Unlucky not to have an assist as well for the cutback to Barnes.

Ran their backline ragged and he had so little support. Our midfielders never go beyond him enough, Tielemans doesn’t have the legs and KDH is too wide.

Quality today, the sitter he missed he’d created for himself and had just ran half the length of the pitch so can forgive him. Held the ball up really well and played some great balls to KDH and Barnes. Was always in the right place and offered for the ball, did everything but score today.

i forgive him but rolling the ball to the far post would have been easier , was it Barnes or KDH racing in on the left.....

He was MOTM for me today. Worked is socks off and got little support when needed. That due to our lack of pace in the Team.

But a great performance from him. Maybe he can be the player Brendan wants to replace Vardy.

Definitely not the case. He gets plenty of assists and creates chances for others. We all know that his touch can be shocking but it's also capable of being sublime. And because of that, when he's on it, his hold up play is superb (as long as it's played into feet).

Still best with somebody else up there or playing as a support player but I think he can do the lone role if he has players running beyond.

Well with Vardy he is! When he's played alone, he often loses the ball a lot. That goal he got against Rennes he actually lost control of before scoring!

But look, Nacho redeemed himself last season. He's a good if not very good player and valued member of the squad. He had a very good game today, just a shame he didn't score that great opportunity he made for himself.

Tried to dink the finish, didn't come off. Made the chance for himself though, great run and power. His hold up play and neat feet(after the obligatory spooned first touch) are absolute class, a real finisher too. Shame he didn't cap a great performance off by putting it to bed there.

Love this guy so much, keeps getting written off and keeps on showing he's top quality. Seems to be Marc albrighton-esque where he continuously falls out of favour but then works his way back into the side and we start winning again.

Haven't seen pace like that from him before. So unlucky not to score.

Pardon!! A striker worth his salt would have easily scored twice this afternoon.

Yes, the guy has talent but I certainly wouldn't call him "top quality". Having said that with a bit more effort he could become the Club's talisman after Vardy.
