Rodgers - re Speculation (Arsenal amongst others)

End of subject sigh of relief, He’s here to stay.

“I have a contract here until 2022. Thus far, I know managers are losing their jobs, the club have not indicated to me that they are going to sack me. I am very happy so would have no need to look elsewhere.

"Why would I want to leave Leicester City at this time? I am working with a group of players who have so much potential. I gave an honest answer about how all managers have some sort of clause in their contracts and suddenly that seems to have thrown a door wide open.

"For me I repeat, I am happy here. Very happy here. I feel I want to continue with that. Take from that what you want.”

Literally no panic at all even after the comments yesterday. Some people need to give their heads a wobble and not be so knee-jerk and scared ffs lol

I wouldn't think anybody is "here to stay". We've seen people in football say one thing then the next week they're at another club.

That said, I don't think Rodgers will leave yet anyway. 8 months in? I know he's done it before but this is totally different; we've got the ambition, squad, backing to challenge for things at the minute and I think he shares that.

G'won Brendan.

Press conference just aired on Sky. My favourite line "logically thinking why would I want to leave"

At the same time I will breath a sigh of relief when the Arsenal position is filled, the same when United inevitably go searching for a new manager in the near future.

symptomatic of today's world - everyone believes everything they read in the papers and can't use critical thinking to come to a much more sensible and measured conclusion

Until he says "look, I'm here until the day I die and have had the LCFC crest branded on my arse" speculation will continue.

but he could be cryogenically frozen and have the branding removed with a skin graft.

he's still going, imo

It's Brendan Rodgers, not Mark McGhee.

When he feels his work is done here he will eventually move on. That may simply be orchestrating a top four finish or a domestic trophy.

Yeah but what if he acts on feeling and emotion instead of logic?

Why would he want to leave us now it after putting a winning formula in place, to leave it risk letting someone else come in and claim the glory of champions league place or higher. It would be insane ud have to be mad or think our league form will fall apart and that we were are, going to slip to below 6th. I doubt he thinks either, if he wanted more money im sure the club would match it to keep him.

Shit-stain-on-the-pants-of-football-broadcasting Richard Keys has waded in with his desperate attempt to stay relevant.

Thanks, Dick.
