Eze ruptured his Achilles last season - is he any worse a player this year ??

He's not done it after doing an ACL.

3 players have done the same injury for us after doing an ACL. One of them was out for 3 years.

If it was the injury on its own then most of us would chalk it off but there is a worry that Ricardo and JJ just won't have the fitness to be any sort of long-term reliable options.

Is right back the most cursed position in our history? Serious injuries x2 to Ricardo and Justin. Tommy Williams sustained a broken leg. Killer Feeley ended up in prison

Pontus Kamark did his ACL not long after he joined us as well.

Darren Kenton also played there. No serious injury but he was cursed to be a horrific footballer.

This.

It would obviously be harsh to write JJ off but it's clearly also naive to pretend there's not a considerable risk that his career at the top level is in jeopardy on the back of these injuries.

Good luck finding a decent LB. Even Liverpool is stuck with a below average player like Tsimikas.

If we can find a left back as good as Tsimikas within our budget we'll have done very well. If he's below average I dread to think what the likes of Thomas and Bertrand are.

Tsimikas is a quite cheap LB with a transfer value around 16M. His stats at Liverpool are not bad but it's obvious that the team's results reflect the quality of players in certain crucial positions.

How have you worked that one out lol

the medical team are meant to reduce risk of injuries and ours clearly do not do that

the number of injuries, length of them and slowness players come back from injury suggest issue with the club

soyuncu come back game in -10 degrees one that has stayed in mind for some time

Do you realise that it doesn't matter if it was a cup game or a PL game? There's a medical team monitoring the players. If a couple of these players have legs made of glass they can't postpone forever their return and the medical team can't do anything about them.

Horrible news. He was finally starting to look a bit like his best self again. Our fullback positions are truly jinxed. All the best to James.

Also Castagne has a history of picking up injuries, so what looked like a rather solid position with Ricardo, JJ, Catsagne, Thomas and Bertrand now looks extremely thin.

You felt he was just starting to get better in recent weeks too. Massive shame for him and us. I doubt he would've gone to world cup in any case.

Difficult to blame Rodgers for this, it's just unlucky. Anyone can get injured any time. He plays Castagane instead and then he could get injured.
