marcymarc666 Posted 3 May 2020 Posted 3 May 2020 We have some great characters in our squad but who do you think could end up being a future Leicester City manager and why ?
donny_soldier Posted 3 May 2020 Posted 3 May 2020 For me, Yohan Benalouane demonstrated managerial characteristics during his brief time with the city. Wasn't afraid to put a hard brexit tackle when it was needed, didn't speak a lick of english and had a questionable fashion sense. Would take no nonsense during post match interviews and none of the players would dare to question him or they'd be in for a walloping! Sign him up.

themightyfin Posted 3 May 2020 Posted 3 May 2020 Vardy will deffo stay in football and hopes to become a manager.

Tuna Posted 3 May 2020 Posted 3 May 2020 Doubt any of them would become Leicester manager, but can see Vardy, Morgan, Evans and Schmeichel as potential managers.
StriderHiryu Posted 3 May 2020 Posted 3 May 2020 There are honestly tons. Part of our success IMO is down to having great leaders who are also pretty intelligent for footballers. - Kasper. Natural born leader. Not sure he will go into management because his father didn't but I think he might be a mini Nigel Pearson if he did! He loves our club too so I think he would be an interesting proposition. - Wes. There aren't enough BME managers in the league so I really hope Wes goes for it. But it seems like he was to move more toward business so it might not happen. - Evans. Natural leader, think he could be good. Might end up more like Michael O'Neil who did well for Northern Ireland though. - Tielemans. Rodgers has said the way he thinks about the game would mean he could make a great manager. This will be 15 years away but could see it. - Cags. It will depend on how good his English gets, but could also see it. More liekly he ends up as Turkey national team manager though. - Ndidi. I think he really likes the club and he's a smart guy and studies in his spare time. This is one that I think would be awesome to see as I feel like he's become one of our own after his transfer here. Also he might not play for us any more but I could see Esteban Cambiasso become our manager, possibly after Rodgers depending on how his career goes. He's currently studying for his UEFA International badge (in fact he might have completed it now) and was Jose Pekerman's assistant manager at the last World Cup for Colombia. He would need to start somewhere first I feel before being given a shot here given how we have progressed in recent years, but I think if he did well we would take a chance on him. Cambiasso is a really intelligent person and footballer so I am quite intrigued to see if he becomes a full time manager and what sort of style he uses. I could also see Chris Davies (assistant manager) or Kolo Toure take over too when Rodgers leaves.
Izzy Posted 3 May 2020 Posted 3 May 2020 I’m sure BR was asked this in a recent interview and he said Youri Tielemans Edit: just seen Striders post above mention this
Hollyfox Posted 3 May 2020 Posted 3 May 2020 Kasper Sets high standards for himself and is a born leader. Fuchs, I reckon he'd make it fun to come to work and is also a model professional, who has been ready to play every time he's been asked to fill in
Big Dave Posted 3 May 2020 Posted 3 May 2020 In an interview a while back, he said that Jamie Vardy would a a good manager. He said that he had a great interest and understanding of tactics in football.

To put it bluntly, he’s far to clever to stay in football and he’s a very astute businessman. He’ll make a huge success in whatever he decides to do after he retires imo
RowlattsFox Posted 3 May 2020 Posted 3 May 2020 Kasper is the obvious one. Evans as well. Matty James maybe, particularly within the lower leagues initially. Can see Wes and Fuchs wanting away from football, early days but Tielemans maybe and Soyuncu is mad enough too. Vardy looks more like coach material.
willie-bell-in-rothley Posted 3 May 2020 Posted 3 May 2020 Gray.....has spent a lot of time on the bench watching
Spudulike Posted 3 May 2020 Posted 3 May 2020 In a way, I wouldn't want any of the Immortals managing us. It would be far too painful if it goes wrong as we wouldn't want him sacked. Vardy Out!!

Lampard is just about getting away with it at Chelsea but Solksjaer at United looks utterly out of his depth.
Fox92 Posted 3 May 2020 Posted 3 May 2020 Evans seems like he'd be knowledgeable about tactical things.
urban.spaceman Posted 3 May 2020 Posted 3 May 2020 Everyone's gone for obvious players but personally I think it will be interesting to see what the future holds for Matty James. Rodgers has had him coaching in the academy alongside trying to get fit and has said he has a good understanding of the game. I don't think he'll ever be able to get fully fit and back to where he was, so it would be interesting to see if he can move into coaching while he has the attention of a young manager whose playing career was also cut short by injury.

I thought that was interesting as he hasnt been at the club that long but he is obviously respected amongst the younger and senior players and has leadership qualities.
