PLEASE SIGN MALANG SARR. Left footed centre back who is exceptional with the ball. Only 6ft1 which is a bit short for Brendan’s liking but he can cover left back as well.

Soyuncu Evans Sarr

Would be a lovely back 3.

Who I want in the summer of 2020?

Rachel Riley and a cold beer.

Remember social distancing, you would only get frustrated, would have to have a ham shank

@Ric Flair right now 61-FDEDA7-915-E-4-A3-D-8481-04-F2-CECF5-

Jokes aside as @GingerrrFox has said, if 3 at the back becomes a frequent thing, then he’d be perfect as our LCB, plus he can also step in at LB.

If this signing doesn’t come about then I’d like to see us go for Jack O’Connell or Nathan Ake.

Youcef atal, can play rb/lb/rm/lm and has great dribbling ability. Should be cheap-ish

I'm just wondering what your definition of "cheapish" is because I dont see him going for less than £30m.

Brendan did say he’d worked with the same group for 18 months and wanted to freshen things up! So I expect 5 signings! Probably two big transfers/Lallana on a free and two with potential. If the two big ones were Bailey and Edouard, I wouldn’t be bothered about the rest.

I can see a forward and a winger being brought in for sure. We have Vardy on 22 and then are next with Perez on 7. Huge void we need to fill if we want to continuously challenge for the top 6.

Iheanacho has 10

Brookes from Bornemouth if they go down would be a great bit of business.

Sarr at Watford looks great for the Prem and still has bags of improving in him still.

I think he will command silly money but would throw our hat into the Grealish ring too.

Like Buendia at Norwich as well as cantwell.

There is talent about to be raided.

No chance we sign the main winger from a PL club. Remember how much we paid for Perez? We would have to pay considerably more for most of these options. Traore would literally cost us £50 million at least.

‘Carbon copy of Gray’ probs was a bit harsh :D just every time I’ve seen him play he flatters to deceive in a similar way.

We should’ve pursued a loan deal with option to buy in January as extra reinforcements if we were gonna go for him - I just don’t want us to go balls deep into a £20-30m deal when, you’ll know as well as anyone mate, there are plenty of good, young, flair players out there at a lower risk price wise and potentially higher reward.

I hard agree with this, loan with option would be the only way I'd even think of signing this guy.

Tell me we had less chance of pinching that game earlier with Mandzukic on the pitch instead of Perez.

Unironically, we had less of a chance pinching that game earlier with Mandzukic on the pitch instead of Perez. Perez was in midfield pressing and winning possession in a way Mandzukic would not have been able to, even if he wasn't exactly playing like God. Mandzukic would have been slow enough that Arsenal's midfield would have had the advantage against ours (and theirs is one of the worst midfields in the league).

I'm not a huge fan of target man football, but I'm also not a fan of managers being dogmatic enough to reject any tactic on the principle of it.  What's the downside to having options?

In fairness Rodgers has switched formations up a lot, he clearly has more than one way to skin a cat. There are probably unseen downsides that a fan can't know about, like dressing room issues from being a Plan B option, effectively training a team in two styles being very hard, other stuff. Considering the amount of world class managers who don't really have more than one "system" they're willing to try, this is one thing I'll leave to Rodgers discretion somewhat.

That is pretty much exactly it for me. We get enough crosses in the box to justify it.

We need to conduct our business in an astute manner we can't afford to repeat the 16/17 summer window or we won't see europe again. We have a second chance lets do it right this time.

We need to raid the relegated clubs and champoinship clubs for squad depth. No major changes to our starting 11 apart from if an opportunity for a very value for money winger arises since we may not be able to afford big fees in the current climate.

The Duty free business is massive for the thais which is dependent on the aviation business and no doubt they are being hit hard by the covid pandemic. Any money we spend is from the clubs coffers. Becuase of this the club can't over spend in anticipation of european football because if everything goes wrong than no one will be bailing us out. No way we are spending more than 50 million in total this window. Without any major outgoings.

We should be targeting any decent wigan players since they are an administration.

Malang Sarr on a free is a must for squad depth if we want to play a back three in europe.

Brentfords Benrahma and Mbeumo are players we should be looking into for depth purposes.

Failing to get them look into Brooks, Ake, Cantwell and Buendia. Should be cheap since they are relegated clubs. We managed to get Evans and Maguire from a simmilar philosophy and it payed dividends. Evans is our best defender and maguire was sold for 85 million pounds.

Lallana on a free if the wages are cheap enough should also be used as a opportuinity for some experienced back up to our players.

In total should cost less than 40 million and cover our depth problems for UCL.

2 wingers/Wide Midfielders is absolutely critical to the starting 11.. Will be football suicide if we don't spend money out wide for next year.  Obviously need to be sensible and get the right players but 2 consistent Elite Top performing week in week out Wide men will be the the most important thing we do in terms of the starting 11.

It would have to be from Bournemouth or Norwich if and when they go down. I'd be all over Brooks if he is fully over his injury problems.
