With You Then, With You Now, With You Again: City Fans Speak As The Restart Approaches

Football returns to the lives of the Leicester City family this week, but not quite as we know it.

02:24
With You Then, With You Now, With You Again

As Brendan Rodgers’ team restart the Premier League season, we know there will be something missing. Something that’s always been there. The people that truly bring the magic to the game. Our supporters.

If you can’t be here, we needed to find another way to bring the Blue Army together; to connect you with each other and with the players in the stadium. So we asked you.

Through direct supporter consultation and through the voice of social media, we listened. We asked what you were looking forward to about the restart and we asked you what you would say to the players if you couldn’t be here to show them your support. We looked for a message that would speak for all of you.

Themes emerged: ‘Stay safe’; ‘We’re right behind you’; ‘Finish what you started’; ‘Keep making us proud’. You wanted us to know that you’d still be with us, as you always have been. And as we know you will be in the future. That your absence would never diminish your passion.

With you then. With you now. With you again.

A simple message from our fans to our players. The voice of our Club as we voyage into uncharted waters. A declaration of solidarity and togetherness until we meet again. When the players enter King Power Stadium, they may not see you, but they will see your voice. And they will know you are with them.

With You Then, With You Now, With You Again

As Brendan Rodgers’ team restart the Premier League season, we know there will be something missing. Something that’s always been there. The people that truly bring the magic to the game. Our supporters.

The mantra will form a central part of the Club’s supporter engagement activities while games take place behind closed doors. We know you still want to make your voices heard as you follow the games from home and we’ll give you the platform – increasing our focus on interactive content and giving you, our supporters, the chance to be the stars of it. The stadiums might be empty, but our fans will still provide the backdrop to the action – lighting up the digital landscape with sound, colour and passion – just as you would from your seats in King Power Stadium.

To kick it all off, we want the players to hear from you. Directly.

Across our social media platforms, we’re asking you to send us your video messages for the squad ahead of the restart. Maybe you haven’t missed a home game for decades. Maybe games at King Power Stadium means time with your family. Maybe you named your child after a Foxes legend. Maybe you follow the team from afar and have some words of advice for those that normally tread the path to Filbert Way. With you then, with you now, with you again is what we heard from you – now we need you to bring it to life. We want your stories of what it means to you.

The best videos will be taken and presented to the team ahead of the season restarting, ensuring Brendan Rodgers and his squad hear it directly from you – the fans.

TL;DR - looks like they're putting big screens up in the stands for videos of fans to show support.

Disappointed it won't be sex dolls to be honest.

I’d go with inflatable dinosaurs personally, I am more than happy to donate one I found at the Everton game a couple of years ago.

I think this is a terrible idea. If you saw a video of me saying "come on Leicester, I love you", you'd piss your pants and probably never feel motivated, fired up or even energetic ever again in your life. And I'd consider myself one of the more normal looking people you'd see on a match day 😬

Obviously we can't have a permanent perimeter fence but it's nice to see more colour on/around the stadium.

Are those trees new too? Looking forward to walking face first into one of them at some point.

That video is so cringe-worthy.. its almost as bad as our yearly rounds of poorly attempted videos of our winning season. all i want to do is run down to my local, buy a few bottles of Henry's Cider and watch a silent game of football.  K thanks

I think people are missing something with this, it’s an opportunity to get something truly vile on the big screens.

I’ll have my half and half round my neck, clapper in hand, Jamie Vardy mask on in FKW mode but the real window of opportunity here is to get something truly vile in the backround. Dildo on the window cill? I haven’t got one but I’m sure I can borrow a neighbours.

Those melts that film themselves reacting to shit at the game are going to be all over this.

Definitely, the half time 'there we go' bloke who does fan cam desperate to get kids dabbing will be in his element if he gets to arrange this.

...wait, will we ever know if our video is played anyway? Like the old adage 'if a tree falls down with no one around then does it make a noise??'

Just a 211 and 174 likes in nearly 24 hours - Conference numbers for a Premier League team's tweet.

Although there's a lovely racist reply on one of them !

lol You have a neighbour that would lend you a Dildo? What else do they lend out!!? Where abouts is this place? (opens rightmove).

It may have been the purpose.....but a half and half scarf that is pretty vile!!

On another note I would appreciate the club sending me the Video montages they play before home games so I can play them on full volume and burst my eardrums before a home match.
