UniFox21 Posted 26 May 2021 Posted 26 May 2021 Now brilliant watching the 3 United pundits try to explain the loss without bigging up Emery or Villarreal 3
Sharpe's Fox Posted 26 May 2021 Posted 26 May 2021 It really is a sad, sad day.... ....that I didn't see Maguire's snivelling sad face because he couldn't play. Hopefully next time.

I don't even remember De Gea saving a penalty ever. He looked frankly amateurish in that shootout. 2
Hales Posted 26 May 2021 Posted 26 May 2021 I'm trying to have sympathy for Bruno, no I can't....... 😁 1

Rulli was alright at the diving and predicting where to dive but he was shocking after that. De Gea just didn’t look like he had a clue how to do the first part and it meant he never stood a chance. I do think Man Utd’s penalty taking was significantly worse though.

Rulli getting close to a couple and have blancmange wrists is almost as bad as De Gea getting nowhere near any of them. Though at least Rulli banged his in. 1
AjcW Posted 26 May 2021 Posted 26 May 2021 Would break the bank to get Conte if I was United but they won’t have the balls
rn9013 Posted 26 May 2021 Posted 26 May 2021 Pundits saying this “isn’t United level”. News for them. It is and has been now for a number of years.

Jaspa Posted 26 May 2021 Posted 26 May 2021 (edited) G'won Villarreal, never won a trophy! Embarrassing performance from Man U, loads of players not looking fit enough, Utd tried wasting as much time as possible in added time - still lose on pens Edited 26 May 2021 by Jaspa
UniFox21 Posted 26 May 2021 Posted 26 May 2021 Video online of Carragher laughing at the United loss, like Liverpool had been relevant this year at all?
coolhandfox Posted 26 May 2021 Posted 26 May 2021 That's why you should take a trophy over a top 4 finish, they are not easy to achieve. Come on Man C, be nice to be the only other Trophy winner alongside them. 2
RowlattsFox Posted 26 May 2021 Posted 26 May 2021 Should it be a rule that when the keepers have to take a pen, an outfield player should go in goal. Seems fair. 1 1

Finnegan Posted 26 May 2021 Posted 26 May 2021 Wow. Literally the only thing they've ever won except the third division in 1970.

ALC Fox Posted 26 May 2021 Posted 26 May 2021 Wow the first trophy in Villarreal's history. It's difficult not to be pleased for them. And beating Utd is the icing on the cake
Corky Posted 26 May 2021 Posted 26 May 2021 I like how winning this shoot out moves Villarreal up from the Europa Conference to the Champions League
BenTheFox Posted 26 May 2021 Posted 26 May 2021 I will add that if Villareal can win this competition then we can definitely put a run together and do the same! 2
