Aus Fox Posted 30 September 2020 Posted 30 September 2020 Another change to the forecast with Slavia Prague going down tonight and now joining pot 2. PAOK and Tel Aviv also joining the EL after losing their final CL qualifying game.
NewEnglandFox Posted 30 September 2020 Posted 30 September 2020 (edited) Slavia Prague drops down. Midtjylland to the Champions League. PAOK and Maccabi Tel-Aviv confirmed. Green is the bookie's picks for the lower coefficient to win tomorrow. Edited 30 September 2020 by NewEnglandFox
Brainy Posted 30 September 2020 Posted 30 September 2020 Why do Rapid pissing Vienna take preference?

CosbehFox Posted 1 October 2020 Posted 1 October 2020 I’m coming around the idea it’s better to remain in Pot 3, too many teams from the top leagues alongside us who have low coefficients 1

Footballwipe Posted 1 October 2020 Posted 1 October 2020 I can forgive perhaps scheduling the tweet/article going live on the wrong day. I can't forgive thinking we can draw Arsenal or Spurs in the group stage. That's UEFA competition basics, honestly. VERY excited for this. I know we can't go, and that's a proper bummer, but this is only our fifth ever foray into Europe. We get six games against three other teams, testing our metal against European teams and the opportunity to go deep in a competition which gains prevalence as it goes on. The draw will be a buzz, the games will be a buzz. THIS is what 38 games in the league is all about. Whether it's UCL or UEL, we should be aspiring to this and not treating it like an inconvenience like some fans are. 1
Scotch Posted 1 October 2020 Posted 1 October 2020 Whatever pot we are in, I just hope we draw Rangers or Celtic. Celtic would be my preference. Saying that, Rangers might not even be in the competition and a lot of their fans would prefer it if they weren't.

Nothing more underwhelming than playing clubs in the same island in European competition.

In one stroke, he served notice that he can and will set up flexibly against strong opposition. He has one of the strongest teams. In one ranking, we are going to enter the groups as the highest rated club.* Still only eighth favorites in the betting**, but the odds have already shortened from 25-1 to 20-1. Whether or not you think we’d be favored over two legs v Napoli or Spurs … YOUR CLUB is badass. I know it doesn’t compute. I know every protective fuse in your brain is trying to short-circuit. But get on board the Optimistic Bus! * fivethirtyeight ** oddschecker Still find it mind-boggling that we're considered in the top 20 clubs globally. Feels like only yesterday that we were duking it out with the likes of Colchester and Walsall in League One, and now we're nestled in between Juventus and Napoli. Bonkers. 8

I'm not sure on the latter, they are financially precarious again so they really need the money the Europa League offers just to stay affloat. For example, they needed a £10m injection of cash from directors last season just to see out the season. It's probably different as in the EPL you play top teams every week but I love getting English sides in European competition, great dynamic to the ties and we always seem to do pretty well and punch above our weight against English sides. Sad thing this season will be there will be no crowds of course which will take a lot away from it. Edited 1 October 2020 by Muzzy_Larsson
