Not Man U, Wolves or Chelsea - good chance they won’t start the season with everyone else and be a disadvantage to play them later in the season during an already congested schedule

We don’t want any newly promoted teams or any of the teams who will be strong on a bounce from this year like Burnley Southampton, Chelsea or Utd.

Best would be either Man City or Liverpool to just get it out the way with or a team whose not on much form and not likely to be pushing high so Sheffield Utd, West Ham, Brighton or Newcastle would be the best timing.

Now we are in the Europa League and could be playing in a shit heap in the arse end of nowhere, it would be nice to acclimatise early in the season with games away at Burnley and Cardiff, shame Watford went down.

Hoping that our players haven't gone off on holiday to some place that gets a Covid spike. Given the quick turnaround we don't want players unable to do pre-season due to being isolation.

The three worst teams in the league. We’ll need that kind of start to cope without Evans, unless we sign a brilliant CB

You dont think your getting rid of Morgan that easy do you!! He will start first 3 games

Do we know when the fixtures get announced?

The Times reckons 23 August. Might be that late especially because of the UCL/Europa tournaments, and if Sky/BT are going to announce their initial games and timeslots when the fixtures are out.

Don't know what constitutes an easy game for us nowadays but one of those. Guessing it won't be too long until its announced?

At home to anyone bar the top 4 usually leads to a win

Arsenal away, Man City away & Liverpool away.

[1] Get three tough fixtures out of the way.

[2] 3 of the worst away atmospheres so don't mind missing them with COVID restrictions.

Would quite like the chance to go to Leeds & Tottenham away to name a couple so hopefully we get them further towards the end when restrictions are lifted.

Potentially 2 out 3 defeats. After the way we have ended the season, that could destroy confidence of what is a young and fragile squad.

It won't be Man City. They get an extra break so we wouldn't play them for at least the first 2 weekends.

It still could be Man City, we just wouldn't play in those first 2 weekends.
