Don’t know about in the professional game, but it has at semi-pro non-league level unfortunately ....

He must disagree with Black Lives Matter too if the word black can’t be used to describe someones ethnicity now. Worlds gone mad.

If he's said "the black guy", I can see why they might be annoyed but it's not abuse is it. An official 100% should be showing more tact though, even in his natural language.

If only players could be easily identified by something like a name or a number as opposed to their skin colour.

From what I've read it was a sub and the fourth official said it to identify Ba when asked who was coming on. Worst case is he says "that guy" and points.

Of course you come to the perpetrator's defence, not the victim who just happens to be black. I am shocked.

 

There are so many ways they could have been identified. Saying 'this black guy' was not the way to go.

Well no because Demba Ba wasn't gonna come on at all. It was said  to Webo then Demba Ba has gone to complain and explain to the 4th official.

I don't understand why you feel the need to defend someone being accused of racist language?

 

If you don't know that person then just point and say "That person there".

 

I cannot work out why you would feel the need to bring skin colour into it?
