I know how to add 0, 1 and 3 to small numbers.  I don't need you to make me go ::Zach Galfiniakis Hangovers gif:: to figure out wtf is going on.  The first time I saw it it was towards the end of a PL season and I thought it was some one-off thing which is fine.  But when it's THE way you display the table like it seems to be now... it's grinding my gears.  

To be fair the live table is useful for competitions such as the Champions League group stages because it is isn't sorted initially on points and goal difference like the Prem

 

1. Points in head to head matches between tied teams

2. Goal difference in head to head matches between tied teams

3. Goals scored in head to head matches between tied teams

4. Away goals scored in head to head matches between tied team

5. Goal difference in all group matches

 

So there are 4 different sorting criteria before they end up using goal difference
