Absolutely brilliant today, did everything needed and when he made a slight mistake made up for it as quickly as he could. Such an underated member of this squad.

I've been singing his praises for ages.

He's consistent, a 7/10 every game. Soyuncu needs to calm down, he's bouncing around like he has ADHD or something, isn't a calming influence at all.

 

We know that Evans makes whoever he is next to perform better, so when we play with a back 4, why wouldn't we try Evans + Amartey?

 

For me, Amartey is currently our best fit CB after Evans.

I think people forget he's never had a run at CB for us really, the position he played for with Ghana when he was in the team of the tournament at the AFCON.

 

 

The thing that impresses me, too, is that he has character.

He's always talking to other players, and isn't unwilling to berate the bigger 'stars' in the side, when he had a deserved dig at Kasper 2nd half for not coming out for the ball.

Glad he has started to get some recognition and loved that he got a song.

 

He has been our best squad player under Rodgers and deserves all the praise he is currently getting. Long may it continue.

Thats the order in my opinion. If Amartey carries on the way he’s going he could actually overtake Cags.

He was excellent today. I love that he's not afraid to carry the Ball forward when the opportunity presents itself.

I also like that he makes his mind up quickly when and where to pass the Ball. Some of his forward passes were exceptional today.

I just love his honesty and a great player to have in the squad.

Which poster was it who seemed to have a blind hatred of him last season, blaming him for all sorts up to and including the Kennedy assination? 

 

He was claiming he was at fault for goals even when he had covered his man etc. 

 

Either way they should come out and own their mistake and apologise to the board and big Dan.
