What did we all panic about before today

 

Some really good performances today. Dominated from about 25 minutes onwards. Praet/Mendy/Tielemans all comfortable and dominating that midfield area. 

 

Castagne with a debut goal and comfortable as well. 

Great start to the season! And there's more signings to come hopefully!

Shout out to Praet, he was making those runs in behind all game long and was getting slated at half time

Aside from about 20 mins in the first half, we controlled that game and deserved to win.

 

Also as I said weeks ago, the difference between top half and bottom half is massive. I can’t believe there’s people who think we are as bad as sides like WBA.

Castagne will bring consistency which is what thid team lacks bar a few key individuals. Superb from him and he'll be an indispensable player for us IMO.

 

Solid win there and absolutely massive for us to gain some momentum and forget about last season. Now get those 2-3 players in and we'll dance.

Impressive start, first 20 had me worried but great stuff after that. Castagne superb, guess you only need one signing if they are that good

Mendy Praet and Tielemans looked good in the middle.

 

Barnes had a few good runs and created chances, shame he can't finish.

Good result but I think it was more important to see us play through a very poor start. Hopefully it breeds a 'Don't panic' mentality. Also important to get through the game given how many players we have missing and that there are still additions to come in the door. 

 

Castagne and Mendy were immense today.

Well in my professional and completely unreactionary opinion we've gone from mid table no hopers to Champions elect.

Played well second half. West Brom contributed to their own downfall and looked awful. Great start to the season.

We shouldn't go overboard but we shouldn't underestimate how big the win was. Plenty of negativity flying around, a pretty drab first half before total domination in the second. The sort of ruthless performance that made our name before Christmas.

 

A vital win which will, temporarily, lift spirits. Castagne, Mendy, Tielemans all excellent, Praet contributed well, Ndidi was solid at centre back and two great penalties to get Vardy off the mark again.
