Fantastic performance.

 

Castagne looks tailor made for us.

 

Mendy was fantastic.

 

Vardy was amazing.

 

Thought Tielemans was our best player today, he bossed it.

Stepped it up 2nd half, quicker and more positive and was easy as anything in the end. West Brom couldn't get near.

 

The performance from Castagne was superb especially having only had a couple of training sessions. The 3 Belgians all superb actually.

Comfortable win after the opening 15/20 minutes.
Tielemans absolute class, easily the best player on the pitch.

Mendy was great too. The two full backs were class second half, JJ worried me first half but had a blinder second half, the ball to set up Praet in the build up to the opener was quality.

Vardy did what Vardy does, more PL goals than Drogba now.

Excellent second half performance, totally bossed it and got the dominant win we deserved.

 

Brilliant debut from Castagne, superb performances from Mendy and Tielemans, and Vardy looking ice cool from penalties, also great assist from Praet for the opener.

 

A lot to be excited about, particularly if we can get a bit more quality in the squad in the transfer window.

Relegation battle, Mendy is a league 1 player, Newcastle are better than us :ph34r:

 

Dominant, professional, clean sheet. Things to work on, but very pleased with that. Baggies need to strengthen as do we. How many opening day premier league wins have we had in recent years! After a shite 2020 all round, let’s just enjoy today and appreciate whilst we obviously need to strengthen, our first eleven is actually pretty good!

That second half performance was the best we’ve played in ages.

 

Castagne easily MOTM, perfect debut. Mendy did a solid job as DM. Vardy on course for the Golden Boot again.

 

If Barnes could finish, that would have been 6-0.

West Brom are in for a very long season. They were poor. But we could only beat what was in front of us and we looked good in the second half. 

 

Castagne looks a class signing

Mendy did very well throughout

Praet looked better in a more forward position

Barnes would be lethal if he could finish but he's a threat.

Vardy enjoyed himself. 

Justin looked assured after the break. 

 

Very pleased with that.
