And I yelled to the cabbie "Yo', Claude, smell ya later"
Looked at my kingdom, I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Leicester

Agreed. Big day for the club after a fantastic start to the season and loads to look forward to. You didn't even mention the stadium expansion on the horizon!

 

Honestly, I can't believe how well this club is doing. I sometimes get that feeling when you wake up after a great dream and you can't be sure what's real or not.

 

I can't ask for any more of the club, but it just keeps on giving.

I think it was a 20% of the profit sell-on clause. Strongly doubt there'd be a release clause.

Certainly doesn't appear to lack confidence. I'm surprised how accepting people have been given the huge fee for someone with little games, didn't we laugh at Wolves for similar.

 

Obviously a talent, and hopefully he turns out to be as good as everyone thinks he will be. It's represents a huge gamble though, interesting to know who has pushed this through in terms of faith that it will be worth it.

Effectively this confirms that Brodgers has thrown in the towel with Benkovic, either because he doesn't think he's up to it or because he's too injury-prone to be relied upon as backup for a busy season. 

 

Which effectively means we've got to now chalk him up as a failed signing. Arguably worse that Slimani really, when you consider we got more games out of him, although obviously his price tag was bigger as well. 

 

Oh well. Can't win them all I suppose.
