So excited about Castagne's return to the team given what he offers to team - opens up the game for us when teams set up defensively as it means we can double up on the wings.

Such a brilliant signing.

Got a good 60 mins in today. Slightly concerned when he hit the deck a couple of times but didn't seem that he had any issues when he went off. Hopefully we'll have him back for a decent run now.

I really hope it's been a well-thought out and well-timed return i.e. not rushed back. I do have the faith in our physio team despite some bad outcomes recently. Given his performances so far, he's the kind of player we don't want to be missing long-term again.

Very cool guy looks abit like a cross between Darren Fletcher and Dermot Kennedy. Can’t wait to have Ricardo and him playing together gonna be sick. Although Justin deserves to play too?

Him and Wilf really offer us a let more at dealing with set pieces and crosses into the box. Neither are huge, but both have a tremendous leap on them.

Ndidi is 6ft and Castagne is 6ft 1,hardly small

Solid player. Sign of a true pro that he has had 2 months out and slotted back in with no qualms.

Plus that was the first time he played for us as a left back. Looked liked he had been doing it for the last two seasons!

Less forward running from him today, which I think was part of the plan, but he didn't put a foot wrong all game long.

Who was responsible for recruiting Castagne, please give that person a xmas bonus!

I bet it was Congerton since it was rumoured that Celtic was in for him while Rodgers was there.

Great to have him back and there today. Added stability and confidence. You have to take your hat off to Christian Fuchs who has played his heart out when, at his age, his legs are going to struggle, especially game after game like we've had. Top player. He'll still have a role yet. But Castagne is the future now and we are lucky to have signed him.
