Pretty sure Puel tried Ricardo at right wing a couple times and rightly got criticised for it.

No point in taking a player out of his best position and an on form Ricardo is better than Castage.

Caatagne hasn't had a good game for us at LWB yet, it seems to be his worst position we've played him at bar as a 3rd centre half. I prefer all of our full backs as full backs but I can well see this happening.

He was very good at LWB in the 4-2 win against Man UTD.

Villa away last season i’m sure Rodgers tried Ricardo at RW and Castagne at RB for the first half of the game- and i think from memory it worked okay. Think Rodgers initially had planned it that way because we thought Grealish was going to play and he wanted the right side of the pitch to have two defensive players- plus Ricardo is good attacking wise.

Puelmpkayed Ricky at RM forbhisbfiret match v man utd away....tho i had the feeling that was more to 'protect' him from being overwhelmed at RB on his debut rather than a tactical switch.

Anyways, I'd like to see it - just once- that they are all fit and playing....jj, Ricky, Timmy. What's the worst that can happen?! (Answer; 2 cruciates and a simultaneous eye socket shoulder socket dislocation with dead leg)

Let's hope he can get back up to speed, he's not had much luck here and on international duty. Barely seen anything of him in an attacking sense this season and those injuries last season seemed to take him off his stride. His first 2 or 3 games here last season he looked unbelievable. Likewise around March/April but then tailed off and this season has been one to forget for him.

I've been quite critical of whether his future lies here or elsewhere and it's not due to ability, just some things don't really work out. Hopefully he gets back fit and on form.

I was thinking about Castagne after seeing him back in training, his season has pretty much summed up our entire season.

Started the season with a fractured cheekbone playing in a mask, suffered a dead leg / bleeding of the quad after every game which needed draining all whilst his shoulder popped out most games lol

Wasn't he signed as a left back due to his success in that position at Atalanta?

Pretty sure he was signed mainly to play RB to cover Riccardo as at that point all we had was JJ in the squad as a proper RB.

The bonus being he could play LB as well.

That was his best performance of the season and yet it still wasn't that impressive, he did well for the Vardy goal but he's never been anywhere near as strong at left wing back as he has at left back or right back/RWB.

Justin is probably the best player for LWB if we have to play 3 at the back.

....if I recall he was coming in as a LB but Ricardo had his injury and the right side became his!!!

I prefer to see players develope..& by that I mean they become flexible in the channels they are used to, But capable of taking up various positions along

those channels....

This forum is a Sticker for demanding certain players should Stay where they are...Football is Full of players Changing their position over the years...its time

This forum copped on in Keeping up with the times..

If Any club needs flexabilty, its Leicester presently with the high % of injuries we have sustained...

Thomas is certainly more suited to playing in a 4 would agree jj the best we have for lwb

For me if we play 5 at the back I'd rather Justin as a 3rd CB than Soyuncu. Means we can get Castagne, Justin & Ricardo in the same team (Not that it'll ever happen).

I don’t really rate him since the first few games he’s had for us. He’s okay but nothing special, might be time to cash in come summer

Perhaps he’s been playing within himself because he’s not been 100% fit …. Hopefully we see a new TC akin to what we had at the beginning of last season.

Are you not concerned about Justin's defensive frailties for that role? For all his excellence on the ball, he doesn't half get caught out in the ball coming over his head and him misjudging the jump or anticipation on positioning as danger is about to approach.

Actually agree...If might be somewhat too early to chose Amy positioning presently .

All Posters must not forget hes for all of  us still young not yet Really Kicked off his career....

Hes just come Off a long period of injury and your right being young he has frailties but no need to be be concerned, have patience and encourage this young

player,Like KDH hes potentially One of the young Breed who will be carpeting ,blueprinting , & rubberstamping our future...

I would like him not to be tied At all to that CB position,Simply because of his ball Control & Skill set in Open play..

Just to Think of...Ricardo,Castagna,Thomas,Justin, Fofana, Amartey,KDH, Ndidi hopefully, &  still Praet in our locker and Soyuncu refinding his Mojo.

A few of them being able to Cover or Take over (WB or midfield positions) with KDH being our midfield Dynamo/driver.

We  would still Need a Quality CB...even if Evans makes any  Type of return.which wont  be over many seasons

I want to see more of JJ before I could make my decision on Position.

IMO he should be somewhere out on the flanks..FB/WB.

Looks much better on the left than I remember. Nice to actually have a squad now with competition we can trust.

Honestly thought he looked a bit ropey until he scored an absolute banger, then it seemed to get his confidence up and he looked better after that

Yeah I did too but then from that moment on he was brilliant, possibly in his top 5 performances in a Leicester shirt.

I've been quite critical of him because we know what he is capable of and he arrived here as a very strong attacking full back/wing back and yet we've only seen it in fits and starts and this season he's been very average. But he looked in beast mode today and hopefully that continues, if he can have a run of games where he stays fit then we'll get to know just how good he is.

I think he is class. I may be in the minority, I don't care. He oozes quality for me.
