I was going to watch Big Fat Quiz Of The Year, then saw Rosie Jones was on it.

 

Saw about 2 minutes of it and that was 1 minute 59 seconds too long.

On the side of you both, I don't find her funny in the slightest (I remember not too long ago she genuinely did a "aren't Southerners rude compared to Northerners!" gag on Twitter for crying out loud) but a good number of people seemed to be piling on her last night for her disability rather than that, which isn't really on.

I saw a while ago it was closing due to the couple who owned it retiring. I think they sold up, the new buyers probably didn't want a restaurant attached to their house. Assuming it's just the restaurant that's been demolished not the whole house.

Believe it's new private owners who've flattened it to build a new home. Friend was due to have their wedding reception there before it changed hands.

Like most of these comedy quiz shows they become a parody of themselves in a very short space of time.

I know it’s been going since 2004 but it has been very samey for years.

A league of their own has virtually the same script for every show, call each other pr1cks at least 4 times each, highlight that Jamie is thick & basically just do something stupid & over the top on the captains / Romesh challenge thinking it’s wild & funny…it’s not!

 

Question of sport tried to move away from what it was in order to be comical and bust.

9 out of 10 cats does countdown will eventually go the same way, it sticks to the structure of the quiz but more and more ‘bits’ are being forced in to get a laugh but ends up falling flat.

Went to the Grey Lady a few years ago and thought it was pretty decent.

 

Shame they knocked it down as it was a nice building and gardens.

We had our wedding reception there in August 2018 and thought how lovely it would be to go back every year and reminisce.... Not sure he'd welcome the Intrusion now 🤣🤣

A neighbour of mine found horse manure and hoof-prints on his front lawn this morning. He checked his cctv footage, which showed 5 or 6 horses were in his garden in the early hours of this morning, New Year's Day. Does anyone living in the Station Lane area of Scraptoft know anything about this very strange event? The nearest field with horses in it is about a mile away.

A minor victory for me yesterday, Expedia have finally resolved my complaint. Last summer we booked a hotel which was advertised with a pool, but when we arrived it was out of use, and looked like it had been for months. I complained and they weren't interested, even though they are still advertising it the same. I eventually gave up with them and went through the European Commission complaints platform which was very easy, and they came back in 48 hours agreeing to the EUR 96 compensation I'd asked for.

 

These people purposefully make it difficult to complain in the hope we will give up, I came close but I'm glad I didn't now!
